Hotel near Hung Hom and Kowloon City,Hong Kong
Once home to Hong Kong’s first international airport, Kai Tak has transformed into a vibrant social hub. Dorsett Kai Tak offers stunning views of Victoria Harbour and is adjacent to the new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Sports Park, hosting major events and concerts. The hotel is located a 35-minute drive from Hong Kong International Airport. Catering to both leisure and business travelers, the 373-room Dorsett Kai Tak features interconnecting suites, two luxury suites with private terraces, and the Presidential Harbour View Pool Suite with a 10m lap pool. Hotel amenities include a sky bar, Spanish-Sichuan all-day restaurant Siete Ocho, a rooftop infinity pool, a 100-square-meter fitness center, and a grand ballroom with double-height ceilings.

"I recently spent three nights at Dorsett Kai Tak during a quick business trip mixed with some sightseeing, and it exceeded my expectations for a brand-new property in this up-and-coming neighborhood. The hotel's location in Kai Tak is spot-on—right next to the future sports park (perfect for event-goers) and just a short, complimentary shuttle ride away from AIRSIDE mall, which has fantastic shopping and dining options. It's about 20 minutes from Central by MTR, making it easy to hop around the city without the Tsim Sha Tsui crowds.Check-in was seamless, with friendly staff (shoutout to Gladys at the front desk for her quick tips on local spots). My room was modern and spotless, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning partial harbour views—woke up to the sunrise over Victoria Harbour every morning. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and amenities like the rain shower, Nespresso machine, and smart controls for lights/AC added that luxe touch without feeling over-the-top. Soundproofing was excellent; I didn't hear a peep from the hallway or nearby construction. The rooftop infinity pool is a highlight—serene with lounge chairs and those epic skyline views, though it was a bit chilly in October for a full swim. I loved the all-day restaurant Siete Ocho; the fusion Spanish-Sichuan dishes (try the spicy prawns) were flavorful and reasonably priced. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped, and the shuttle service ran like clockwork.A minor gripe: During peak event times nearby, traffic can snarl up the area, but the hotel's proactive updates via app helped. Overall, for the value (especially with the Genius discount), this is a fresh, vibrant spot that captures Kai Tak's rebirth as Hong Kong's cool new hub. I'd return in a heartbeat—highly recommend for modern comfort with a side of urban energy!"

"We just spent a lovely weekend at this hotel and overall, we were very impressed. It's a fantastic choice for a modern and convenient getaway. First, the positives, which are numerous: Stylish & Modern: The design is absolutely beautiful. The lobby and rooms are decorated with a clean, contemporary aesthetic that feels both luxurious and welcoming. Unbeatable Location: The location is perfect. It's just a short walk from the main public transportation hub, making it incredibly easy to get around without a car. We loved being steps away from great restaurants and cafes. The biggest bonus was the immediate access to different water sports—being able to just walk out and go kayaking was a highlight. Top-Notch Facilities: Everything feels brand new. The gym was well-equipped, the common areas were spotless, and we really enjoyed the pool area. Excellent Staff: Every staff member we interacted with, from check-in to housekeeping, was exceptionally polite, professional, and helpful. They really made us feel well taken care of. There were, however, two noticeable issues that held us back from a 5-star rating: Poor WiFi: The WiFi was consistently slow throughout our stay. It was fine for checking emails but struggled with anything more data-heavy, like streaming or uploading videos. Faulty In-Room TV: The LCD TV panel in our room was not working properly. The right side of the screen was noticeably dark, which made watching anything quite frustrating. Overall, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's strengths in design, location, and service far outweigh the technological drawbacks. We would definitely consider staying here again,"

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Centric. The location is very convenient, as it is close to the Causeway Bay shopping area and offers multiple public transportation options, including trams, buses, and trains. However, we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast buffet, as there were not many options available. On a positive note, I loved the filtered water machine in our room, which helps reduce the use of plastic bottles. We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to Hong Kong."

"Had a couple days stay at these apartments. A few thing that I may say for those looking to know wether it is worth it or not 1. Location - is great, a few minutes walk to the Tsim Sha Tsui metro stations, ferry, 24 hour 7-eleven etc. 2. Room with a balcony is a must have - you’re basically paying for you personal spot with a harbor view which is fantastic 3. Rooms have everything you need and are spacious. We had a washing and drying machine, fridge, stove. Nothing to add here 4. Rooms filling is great 5. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly from reception to the pool and restaurant. 5* service here 6. The connecting floor and restaurant area are just stunning. Feels like you’re walking inside someone luxury apartment - big chess for children, other table games, view spots to chill I front of the great view, various art installations. It’s a great place to be What I can not understand is how in that wonderful place it can be such a mediocre kitchen. I’m not particularly picky on the food, conbini foods and Don Quijote fried chicken are fine for me, but that was something unexpected. I would highly suggest changing the kitchen to something more appropriate to the overall level of the apartment. Hong Kong has a billion fantastic kitchen options but that was around European 3* old hotel experience, unfortunately. It just didn’t taste anyhow, nothing. The buns were not fresh, the salad was not fresh, eggs were not done correctly, though deserts were fine. Anyway, hope this helps somebody"

"My stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, was a mixed experience. The location is absolutely superb, making it incredibly convenient for transportation and shopping, with an abundance of dining, entertainment, and activities nearby. However, the decor felt dated, much of the furniture showed significant wear and tear, and the facilities seemed old, which didn't quite match the hotel's luxury positioning. What was even more frustrating was that around 7 AM the next morning, the fire alarm suddenly blared. We rushed downstairs, only to be told by the front desk that it was triggered by steam from another guest's water heater. After that, I couldn't get back to sleep, and it really put a damper on my mood. (When checking out, the hotel mentioned they would offer a room upgrade for my next stay. I'm not sure if that will actually happen, but I'm making a note here.)"

The hotel's fitness center features the latest cardio, strength and weights machines. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi access in public areas.

"We were in town for some business with an elderly family member and a child, and after careful consideration, we decided on Hotel Indigo. The lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming during check-in, and she even kindly upgraded our room. In Hong Kong, where space is a luxury, finding a room over 30 square meters for this price is truly remarkable value. Although the hotel entrance is quite discreet, we were perfectly satisfied with the room's cleanliness and overall condition, which is what truly counts. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive after reading some previous reviews, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. Breakfast was perfectly adequate – nothing fancy, but certainly enough to start your day. All the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location is super convenient, with numerous dining options and the MTR station just a stone's throw away. What's more, on stormy days, they thoughtfully provide umbrellas at the hotel entrance."

"Overall, very good. I booked a pre-sale deal through Ctrip for just over 590. There was an additional 100 HKD surcharge for checking in on a Friday. This year, the Hong Kong government introduced a 3% tax, which amounted to over 18 HKD. So, the total came to around 700 HKD. We received a complimentary upgrade to a sea-view room with a 1.3-meter bed. Considering Hong Kong hotel prices, this offered excellent value for money. In terms of location, it's very close to Nam Cheong MTR station, just a 5-minute walk from Exit B. It's only one MTR stop away from West Kowloon. To get to Disneyland, you only need to make one transfer, and it's a total of three stops. The next day, we also visited the Science Museum near Hung Hom station, which was also a direct few stops on the same line. The room was small but incredibly well-equipped. As my daughter put it, 'It's small but cute!' My 7-year-old daughter and I shared a bed, and it was sufficient for us, but for a family of three, this room type wouldn't accommodate everyone comfortably. It seemed possible to cook, as the room had an oven-like appliance, and there appeared to be a communal kitchen too. Since we only stayed for one night, we didn't get to explore all the hotel's facilities. The room was clean, and the bedding was quite comfortable. It would be even better to visit in the summer, as there's also an infinity pool available for use. The service was also excellent. The front desk staff were all very welcoming and enthusiastic. We would definitely consider staying here again!"
