The hotel exudes a sense of tradition and timeless elegance, and the view from our room was absolutely breathtaking — beyond words, really. I can confidently say it was the best view we've seen among all the hotels in Shanghai. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. The level of service throughout our stay was truly outstanding. Check-in and check-out were both quick and seamless, which we greatly appreciated after a long journey. Although the building itself shows a bit of age, everything else more than made up for it. The room was immaculately clean, with the furniture and flooring well maintained and neatly arranged. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome letter and fresh fruit, which added a personal touch and made us feel truly valued as guests. The breakfast venue offered not only excellent food but also a stunning view, making every morning feel special. The service at breakfast was also consistently attentive and professional. While the swimming pool was a bit on the smaller side, my husband still enjoyed it during the short time he was able to use it. Once again, the staff there were helpful and courteous, ensuring a pleasant experience. If I had to mention one minor downside, it would be the slightly dated feel of the building itself. However, the incredible view, exceptional service, and overall atmosphere far outweighed that detail. Overall, I would confidently rate our stay as 9 out of 10. "We were in town for a concert with my child, and the hotel staff proactively called us beforehand to confirm our check-in details. We arrived at the hotel around 11 PM, and the front desk staff were incredibly quick with the check-in process, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel! Moving on to the room, we had a river view room this time. It was quite spacious and impeccably clean. For example, the electric kettle was spotless, inside and out – no water stains whatsoever. This really matters to someone like me who's a bit particular about cleanliness. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect, offering just the right amount of support without being too soft. Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast. I honestly didn't have high expectations, but the breakfast at MGM Shanghai truly blew me away! Unlike the standard, often unremarkable breakfasts at many star hotels, the selection here was incredibly rich and diverse. They had a live noodle station (the scallion oil noodles are a must-try!), freshly prepared seafood congee, and preserved egg and lean pork congee – all tasting absolutely delicious. Especially when compared to another five-star hotel we stayed at the very next day, even my daughter couldn't help but exclaim, 'I really miss MGM's breakfast!'"

"The staff are extremely rude and the customer service overall is very poor. Staff are not welcoming and go out of their way to try and make your stay difficult. Aside from that the rooms are very clean and spacious and the price is very reasonable. The outdoor pool is a plus in the summer, but the lack of pool loungers which have seemingly been replaced with yoga mats is very low rent. Would highly recommend if you are planning not to spend much time at the hotel, or if it is summer and you are wanting to luxuriate in an outdoor pool - otherwise don’t bother! They clearly don’t want repeat business."

"Excellent services! All the front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Staying continuous 3 nights in such prestigious branded hotel without regret, I ve checked in with an upgrade and late checkout from the morning and the overnight staff. A surprising souvenir offered from Leon, and the door man was also helpful to carrying our luggage and directing the taxi direction. Very much enjoyed the fresh fruit to start cycling each morning, I'd suggest to take sporty route nearby. Then the hotel maybr can offer a little more mouthful healthy snack to make Hampton morning tradition more attractive. Overall, we pretty enjoyed the stay and will come again next time! Thank you for the services!"

"This recently built hotel is conveniently located next to the airport, making it an ideal choice for travelers with early morning flights, as it’s practically connected to the departure area. We stayed here during a business trip and enjoyed meals at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant and the breakfast buffet. The food quality at both was impressive, contributing to a comfortable and satisfying stay."

"Location: nearby Pudong airport (30 mins by car) and Disneyland Shanghai (15 mins by car). Cleanliness: very tidy and well organized. Service: 100 out of 10, owner was very friendly helpful. Everyday breakfast is difference. Facilities: Interested designed. Me and my BF come from Germany, owner very helful use translate for more understanding. Moreover, they have car-pooling 2 ways to Disneyland. There also 3 dogs in here and super cute ! I will come back definately if I have chance in future, highly recommend this accomodation."

"Everything was great. Accommodation is very clean and modern. The staff is very helpful. They gave slippers for swimming pool . It was really nice. I liked both exterior and interior of the hotel. There is very cute kitten in the territory. But I think it is necessary to loose his band (collar) It is too tight."

"Wyndham Garden Hotel Pudong Shanghai: A perfect experience of cleanliness and convenience. We chose the Wyndham Garden Hotel Pudong for our trip to Shanghai, and it completely exceeded our expectations! The room cleanliness was top-notch, and I couldn't praise it more. The cleanliness was immediately striking. The floor was dust-free, even barefoot. The bedding had a subtle fragrance and was soft and fluffy to the touch, making it feel like sinking into a cloud. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the walls and countertops were spotless, even the most grime-ridden corners were spotlessly clean, free of any odor. Toiletries were neatly arranged, and meticulous attention to detail was evident. The cleaning lady was incredibly friendly, always greeting us with a smile. She also promptly replaced our drinks during the daily room cleanup, making it a truly comforting experience. The hotel's free shuttle service was a welcome bonus. I made reservations at the front desk the day before, and the shuttles always departed on time, whether I was going to Disneyland, the Safari Park, or to and from Pudong Airport, saving me the hassle of searching for directions or navigating traffic. When we visited Disneyland, we took the hotel shuttle to the park early, saving us at least an hour compared to traveling on our own. This greatly improved our experience. The shuttle also covered many popular destinations, making it incredibly hassle-free. Furthermore, the hotel service was exceptional. The front desk was efficient and helpful at check-in, even offering assistance with luggage. The room was spacious and bright, with excellent soundproofing, allowing for a restful night's sleep. This clean, comfortable hotel, conveniently located, and excellent value for money is a must-see. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai!"

"Amazing experience above expectations. The hotel is in the middle of the centre, 10 minutes from the station, the staff is amazing most of them speaking English and knowing everything you can ask for as advice. The room was really spacious, spotless clean, equipped with everything you could imagine and the breakfast was beyond expectations. The concierge service was also amazing. I will definitely return myself and recommend this hotel to everyone."
