Step Into the Soul of 1960s Minneapolis at Hotel Indigo. Located in downtown Minneapolis, our newly reimagined hotel blends modern comfort with vintage charm. Set in the historic Northstar Center—opened in 1963 as the city’s first mixed-use development—our hotel was once the iconic Northstar Inn, a mid-century marvel that helped launch the Minneapolis skyway system. Our building, part of a visionary project that included the Cargill and Pillsbury buildings, was once called a “city within a city.” Just steps away, you’re near the birthplace of a beloved, doughy kitchen character who’s been making America smile since the 1960s—a nod to the city’s warm, whimsical legacy. Explore Nicollet Mall, Loring Park, and the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Catch a show at the Orpheum, State, or Pantages Theatres, or head to iconic music venues like First Avenue and The Armory. Whether you're here for a conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center, a game at Target Field or U.S. Bank Stadium, or a nostalgic getaway, our location puts you at the center of it all. With easy access to the Metro Light Rail, you’re minutes from MSP Airport, the Mall of America, and the University of Minnesota.
"Very spacious and modern rooms, very cool design of public areas and rooms! Unfortunately, we had some difficulties communication with the hotel twice. First, we wanted to learn more about parking and hotel put us on 10 minutes hold and after that they did not pick up the call for more than an hour! Maybe they are busy, but still leaves an impression. Secondly, we called at the reception to ask about the places open for a beer or wine and they simply hang up on us twice. Moreover, there was something with the lock- we could not leave the room without asking for help outside. I’m glad we were not in the rush in the morning. Not sure why is that so haha! Generally great area in the city center and pretty design!"
