I recently stayed at Rydges Port Macquarie, an EVT Hotel, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The hotel is beautifully located right by the sea, making it perfect for relaxing walks along the waterfront. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered stunning views, which made the stay all the more enjoyable.
The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. However, the breakfast spread was quite average—while it had the basics, it lacked variety and didn’t quite match the high standard of the rest of the hotel.
Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for a seaside getaway, and I’d happily stay again. Hopefully, they’ll enhance the breakfast selection in the future to make the experience even better!

We chose this hotel for its location. Unfortunately for us it’s rained so the location was spoiled. But that isn’t the reason for the poor review. We were greeted by a request for $15 a day for the hotel car park (We had already paid in advance for the room and breakfast). The lobby and bar was full of Drs and Medical Reps for a two day convention so we had to fight our way to our room each day. We ate in the restaurant and my steak was cold and the rest luke warm. Breakfast was a buffet style and was messy, not checked and trays were empty and the worst we have had travelling. On check out we were charged again for our breakfast and the manager was condescending until she realised she was incorrect.

The room I had needed a repaint, the paint is crumbling off the walls. The furniture and bathroom were pretty old but functional. No big deal but the tv in the lounge area didn't work the one in the bedroom did. The parking is limited, I had to park a few blocks away.

The Sea Breeze Cottage is independent of the campsite, without any access control, and is relatively old. For a room rate of 1500+, it can only be considered as a one-night stay. You should have a psychological expectation when booking a room. The location is really good, close to the graffiti rock.

The facilities in the room were a bit old but still clean, but the floor and oven in the bathroom, the cooker hood were a bit dirty, and I didn't want to test it. . . . . I booked a 1 bedroom apartment and was quite happy with the place. Apartment was spacious and equipped with basic necessities for our 2 nights stays.
Location is not central to the town area. Though the town area is only a 5minutes drive away. Dedicated parking bay provided, so no dramas with the parking.
Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

JJingjingxinxinParking is convenient, and the car is about the same distance to the east of the hotel, but this place is not far away by car, there are few people and the scenery is intoxicating. If you have time, go there and fish slowly. It is very beautiful.

徐徐A typical motel with a large bed and a small bed, suitable for a family of three. Breakfast is very simple, cereal, coffee, bread, if you want to lick, you have to pay a single point, and pay. The location is by the lake, there are many graffiti stones by the lake, you can look at it. The hotel manager left at 11pm and found the key to open the door. They will leave keys and messages for you. As a transitional accommodation is not bad.

The front desk auntie asked us enthusiastically if we needed a physical map and explained the situation of Port Macquarie. Since we arrived late, some restaurants were closed. She suggested their business areas and we successfully found delicious food~
Back to the room;
It was completely hotel standard, comfortable and clean big bed, sufficient lighting at night, curtains enough to block light during the day the next day, and it was quiet in the residential area.
The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the photos looked old, but it was really very clean. A hot bath washed away the fatigue of a day's driving.
Microwave oven, simple kitchen equipment is complete.
Parking is free, matching the number of rooms, and there is basically no over-parking.
I will stay here next time I pass by~

GGuest UserVery clean and spacious room. Felt comfortable in there. However, the pillow was a bit hard. The motel reception closed at 7pm and it was literally closed. The tip I learned is to send message by the phone number placed at the reception door or send email by the website's contact email. The staff was responsive to both ways - save you the overseas call if you're foreigners. The staff will send you the passcode of the key box then you can get the envelope of the room number and key. 6 minutes drive to Port Macquarie where has many good quality restaurants. We went to the Japanese restaurant, Ichi, very good quality dishes but not expensive! Another we didn't manage to go is Bills Fishouse & Bar. It was full house thus, needs to do reservation if you wan to secure a table. Saw what people eat in Bills - dishes looked beautiful and tasty.

GGuest UserFloor felt sandy like it had not been vacuumed/swept throughly after the last guests. The dishrack was rusty so we didn't want to use it. The non-stick pot provided to cook was clearly scratched, which means it becomes toxic to use. The green scourer provided to wash the dishes with was quite hard to use and can also be abrasive and scratch the non-stick coating on pots and pans.
Other than those minor things, the standard cabin was spacious and the triple bunk bed seems fun if you have kids.

HHANGThe center of the city is beautiful, walking distance to the sea, shopping malls, shopping streets, restaurants. The scenery and facilities are great! Even if the weather didn't catch up haha, Da Laoyuan flew over from Tianjin and thought that he could see the sunny summer. After that, the city would be full of smoke from the mountains.
