"Arrived on time from Shanghai,to our surprise the hotel room is beyond our expectation due to the fact,our previous one in Shanghai was a tiny room. Pro: - surrounding areas are pleasantly decorated and many cafes & eateries to choose from. - for a different taste,just crossover the other side of Pheonix Masjid by using escalator to the muslim friend areas & restaurants which serves halal food - Con: West lake is big pond,choose your scenic viewpoint wisely or you will end up in a very crowded areas.But it is not a stopper because the place is beautiful"

"My friends raved about this hotel I booked. It's ideally located, offering a quiet escape while being just a 200-meter stroll from the bustling Ding'an Road or Yan'an Road. Another 200 meters brings you to the subway station or West Lake, which is perfect for tourists. The staff aren't overly warm, but they're efficient and quickly resolve any issues, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, providing much-needed rest after long days of sightseeing. For the last two days of our trip, they upgraded me to a lake view room, where I could even catch the West Lake musical fountain at night. Despite its quiet surroundings, the hotel is surrounded by great dining options. Downstairs, there's a delicious Shaoxing restaurant, and across the street, a small eatery serves amazing scallion oil noodles. The hotel's own breakfast buffet is excellent, priced at 36 per person, and has everything you could want, especially the incredibly tasty xiao long bao!"

"The transportation here is simply a blessing for lazy people! The hotel is right near a subway exit; it's only a 7-minute walk from the station. As someone who hates hassle, I no longer have to drag my luggage around for ages trying to find my way. Want to go to West Lake? Just turn left outside and you'll be there in 5 minutes. It's super convenient whether you want to catch the sunrise in the morning or enjoy the night view in the evening. There's good parking right at the entrance, unlike some hotels where it's a nightmare. The cleaning staff were also very good. The front desk service was enthusiastic too, proactively recommending local eateries to us."

"I used to stay at this well-established hotel, which was very convenient for me! When booking for my daughter and her classmate, it was the first place that came to mind! As always, they upgraded our room! New hotels nowadays just don't have the same quality as these older, established ones. Details like the flooring still show its former glory, giving it a very retro feel! The service was also good! Try to avoid driving here; parking at the entrance is available but costly in this prime location. Hangzhou never disappoints! My daughter told me that at West Lake, at 11:30 PM, staff were still helping tourists retrieve a phone. When their retrieval equipment couldn't find it, the staff actually took off their clothes and went into the water to get it! I really applaud the West Lake management for that! The day before, a similar incident happened when my daughter went to Xincheng Ancient Town. Her phone fell into the river while she was having tea, but she couldn't get through to the scenic area's phone number, even though it was before 5 PM! Local residents there actually demanded 1000 yuan to help retrieve it, and kept scaring the kids, saying the current was strong and it would be swept away if they didn't act fast... My daughter and her classmate were desperate (it was an iPhone 17 that she'd just bought, less than a month after her previous iPhone broke in Shanghai, so she probably felt very bad about it). Incredibly, she went into the river herself to retrieve it, even though she was on her period! By the time her dad arrived, ready to help, she had already gotten it out herself! Comparing this to the Hangzhou incident, her trip to Xincheng was a huge irony!"

"This hotel boasts an excellent location with convenient transportation, being close to West Lake and Wulin Night Market. It offers a rich breakfast and handy self-service laundry facilities. The soundproofing in the rooms is also very good. You can walk to Wulin Night Market and then stroll to West Lake. Downstairs, you'll find Metro Lines 1 and 2, with just one stop directly to Wulinmen, where you can take a boat tour to watch the Qiantang River light show. Metro Line 1 also goes directly to Hangzhou East Railway Station and the airport. There's even an observation deck on the 12th floor, offering a distant view of West Lake."

"The service was incredibly attentive; the staff, both the guys and girls, were so friendly, even helping deliver my takeout right to the room. The cleaning ladies were also very warm and polite. This time, they even gave me a free room upgrade and a 1.5-hour late checkout. Just one minor area for improvement: the cleanliness of the laundry room could be better."

"We travel a lot, and this hotel was a pleasant surprise! I wish they were a chain so we could find such a great hotel in other cities too. The attention to detail was evident everywhere we looked. There was absolutely no smoke smell, which is really rare – smokers, please look elsewhere! The breakfast was good, and the coffee machine was high quality. The staff were friendly, and they even had freshly baked waffles. The bathroom provided four amenities: shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion, all of excellent quality. Mouthwash was available at the sink, and laundry detergent was provided. They also offer a laundry service, so you don't have to deal with it yourself, which is incredibly thoughtful. A big thank you to the hardworking staff!"

"As a fellow hotelier, I meticulously compared various options before settling on yours. Upon arrival, the parking signs weren't very clear. During check-in, the front desk informed me they'd upgraded my room, which I initially appreciated, but they didn't specify the room type. My partner and I were speechless when we entered – it was a family room! When upgrading rooms, shouldn't you consider the guest's party composition? It was too late to ask for a room change. I explicitly mentioned during check-in that I'm a light sleeper and need a quiet room, yet the one assigned was quite noisy. Due to professional habit, I always inspect the room thoroughly. Everything else was pretty good, but the kettle looked a bit old and needs replacing, and the bathroom corners could use a more thorough cleaning."

"The hotel is well-located, and the service was decent. However, we noticed some black marks on the walls, and there was a fly in the room when we checked in. These issues slightly detracted from our overall experience. On a positive note, my child loved the bathtub, and we enjoyed the view of mountains and a pagoda right across. I hope the rooms will be more thoroughly inspected before the next guest's arrival."

"The hotel was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room had a beautiful vintage design with a nostalgic Republic-era vibe, very unique and cozy. I was also upgraded to a room with a window for free, which was a lovely surprise! The location is great — only about 10–15 minutes to West Lake. There’s a K155 bus stop right downstairs that goes directly to the train station, and there are plenty of convenience stores nearby. Highly recommend this hotel! I will come back again when I visit Hangzhou next time!"
