South Lodge is a single storey self-catering holiday cottage nestled into the side of the wood. The cottage is in an elevated position looking over to the main estate house and the loch and hills beyond.You enter the cottage up three steps to the porch where you can leave all your wellies and coats, then onto the landing which has two doors. The right hand door leads to a large comfortable bedroom with a super king sized four poster bed. The bedroom has fitted cupboards, a chest of drawers, dressing table and two double glazed windows looking out across the woods and lawns. The door to the left leads into the cosy, relaxing sitting room with log burner, smart free sat TV, docking station, comfy sofa and chair. The two double glazed windows also have beautiful views.Off the far end of the sitting room is a door which leads to the kitchen and shower room. The kitchen to the right is well equipped with fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave and all the equipment you would need to prepare food.The shower room to the left has a large walk in Aqualisa shower with excellent pressure, basin and WC.This charming cottage has its own garden laid mostly to lawn with a selection of garden furniture and a mobile Barbecue for summer evenings. This cottage is immersed in a stunning hill farm estate in glorious West Highland scenery, tucked away in the Argyll hills a short distance from the coast. The cottage is owned and run by Angus, Willa and family. For guests staying on the estate we have kayaks, bikes, rowing boats to hire, with fishing, walking and much, much more, you would be hard pressed to fit everything into a week in this stunning part of Argyll. Finchairn Farmhouse - Sleeps 10The farm house is situated in a stunning, private, elevated position looking over Loch Awe, completely on its own. It has a square enclosed court yard to the back of the property and a large garden to the front which is bordered by a dry stone wall with far reaching views across the loch. There are five large double bedrooms and four bathrooms, two en-suite. All have Aqualisa walk in showers and two also have baths. Two sitting rooms with ping pong table, wifi and smart TV, DVD and log burners. Well equipped kitchen with everything you would need. A separate dining room with log burner. A downstairs separate WC. Traditionally built for local character and charm, the cottage has timber beams and an open fireplace built with local stone. Fitted and furnished to an award-winning standard throughout, the cottage is cleaned and cared for every week by the owners. The open-plan downstairs has a west-facing sitting area with comfy chairs, open fire, digital TV, DVD/video, CD player and free WiFi. The kitchen and dining area is to the rear, with open views to the woods behind. In the kitchen we provide high quality crockery, cutlery, and equipment, including a dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and tumble drier. Upstairs has a west-facing master bedroom with 5ft king-sized bed, fitted wash basin, generous storage and sea views. The twin bedded room has views to the rear. Bath and hand towels, duvets with covers, sheets and pillowcases are all provided. All electricity, and coal for the open fire, is provided at no extra cost. Well behaved pets are welcome, subject to charges and certain conditions. The small, friendly village of Craobh Haven (pronounced 'croove', after the Gaelic for a small tree or shrub) lies about 20 miles south of Oban, just north of Ardfern. This is an elegantly converted school room which now offers a perfect home for two guests. The property has been totally renovated into a luxury get away.You enter the property into a large porch with hanging space over the radiator with a door then leading into the kitchen. The kitchen has everything you would need to prepare food with a fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic hob, a fan oven, dishwasher and washing machine. This then leads out into the open plan sitting /dining area with a log burner, Sonos player, flat screen Freesat TV, wifi and ample seating. There is a second porch leading off the back of this area which leads to the private garden which used to be the play ground. Also off the sitting room is the bathroom which has a bath and large separate walk in shower. Both the kitchen and bathroom are under the balcony bedroom which can be accessed by the oak staircase. The bedroom looks down on the sitting/dining area and out of the large full height windows into the garden. This has a large oak super-king four poster bed with a hypnosis mattress and matching sets of drawers. As this is open plan we sadly do not accept dogs. Outside there is a barbecue, table and chairs to enjoy the sun trap garden. There are also out buildings for storage if needed.
