Upon arrival, we were greeted not merely with the hotel’s signature warm cookie, but a generosity of spirit embodied by Haykal, whose attentiveness would put even the most seasoned concierge to shame. His deft touch secured us a splendid room upgrade, transforming our stay into something decidedly more opulent. The resort’s pool was a veritable aquatic kingdom, shimmering in the July sun, and an instant magnet for the children, who splashed and frolicked as though auditioning for an Olympic synchronized swimming squad. Though the siren call of the beach beckoned, we heeded the staff’s cautionary tale of marauding jellyfish. It turns out, we didn’t miss a thing—so beguiling were the pools, we scarcely gave the sea another thought. Breakfast each morning was a carnival of flavors, a sprawling buffet laden with enough options to make even the most decisive diner pause in awe. From delicate pastries to hearty local delicacies, it was a daily feast fit for emperors. Yet, as with any grand experience, there were minor discordant notes amid the symphony. A persistent flotilla of flies occasionally intruded upon our peace, a reminder that paradise is never entirely without its quirks. Likewise, room service proved leisurely in pace, as if our meals were being prepared on a distant mountaintop before descending ceremoniously to our door. For those who prefer culinary expedience, Grab delivery is a welcome alternative—just be prepared to part with a few extra ringgit for the privilege. Still, these were but tiny clouds in an otherwise brilliant sky. The staff’s warmth, the resort’s sprawling amenities, and the sheer joy on our children’s faces each day conspired to create an unforgettable family retreat. If you seek a place where your spirit can unfurl, where your children’s laughter will echo across sunlit terraces, and where hospitality is more than a gesture but a genuine art, look no further than DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut. Stayed for 2D1N on a weekday with my wife and 1-year-old baby. The room and hotel were satisfying, with a strategic location—walking distance to many restaurants, a Speedmart, and Lumut Waterfront. However, the beach was not suitable for swimming due to oil and dirt. The breakfast buffet was also not great. That said, I still think this is one of the best hotels available in Lumut, and I would consider staying here again.

The room is very humble but has the basic necessities such as body shower, air cond, towels etc but not toothbrush and knowing it is a budget hotel, then just acceptable. Not oku friendly as dont have lift. HOWEVER, the view in front of the hotel is INSANEEEE. Near the jetty for going to pangkor which is a pluss. Very worth the price! Shall book back if coming again

Very spacious & comfortable room. If you want to pray, there is a lot of space, ready to gather again. The TV is ready to watch YouTube again. Wifi is also fast. Very strategic location 🫶🏻 will repeat again soon 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 The room has a fan & aircond 👍🏼👍🏼

Location: 8minutes to Sitiawan town. 7e right next to the hotel, grab our quick bites and fixed midnight food urge. Basic hotel for one night stay before heading to our next destination, confy bed, reasonably priced. Suggestion: (1) The room can have more lights (2) shower heater can be more powerful

Nice location. Smooth check in. Kids enjoyed the overal experience. Nearby to the beach as well. Cleanliness can be improved as the bed sheet have some stain on it.

the hotel is comfy, suitable for short stay. room cleaness is good. tv channel avai6 only 4, but not realy a matter if it for short stay. location wise, food hunting & attraction is a drive away.

The hotel room is very small, at first we get a double bed room without windows. The air conditioner was not functioning. When we told the receptionist, she change a double bed room with windows for me. Very disappointed as the air conditioner is functioning but not cold. Luckily we can open the windows to get some natural wind. This is the only downside. The breakfast only has nasi lemak and bread. It is acceptable as the room price is cheap. Anyway, the location of the hotel is really good, walking distance to Jetty, Lumut waterfront, KFC , restaurants and all the snack shops.
