The Bird house is right in the middle of the areas best attractions. It sits only 3 miles from Little River Canyon. While being only 4 miles away from DeSoto State Park. This cabin is perfect for a couples romantic retreat. Single bedroom, one bath cabin. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a balcony leading out of the bedroom that overlooks the beginning of a 20 acre wooded lot. A custom large walk In shower with a clear glass door. Nicely decorated throughout and has a very warming feeling as soon as you walk in. Its fully stocked with kitchen utensils and pans. The cast iron skillets are to be used if you wish as well. We have a charcoal grill on the porch for those who like to cookout. The HOT TUB is a favorite among guest, perfect mood to light up the large outdoor firepit at night and sit back in the private hot tub, such a romantic and relaxing experience. The cabin sits at the front of a 20 acre lot that puts you right at natures door step. Great phone service and you can be in town within a 8 minutes drive. We are very close to Weiss lake at 17 minutes, Fort Payne reservoir at 10 minutes and Dekalb County lake at 20 minutes. The second bedroom has a full size bed. This is the perfect location to see Little River Canyon, DeSoto Falls and Mentone. The adventurous Little River Canyon is only 1 turn and 4 miles away. You can also be at the DeSoto State Park in just a short 8 minute drive. Extremely convenient to all of the must see shops, top rated hiking trails and some of Alabama's greatest waterfalls all within some of the shortest drives. This newly remodeled house has all the comforts of home. The spacious floorplan allows for elbow room while enjoying each other's company. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The kitchen and great room allow for gathering space. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry room. Coffee can be enjoyed in the nook at the front of the house or on the screened in porch. The 3 different decks offer beautiful views and rockers. The house is on Scenic Highway 1.8 miles from the vibrant village of Mentone and 1.3 miles from picturesque DeSoto Falls. Lots of outdoor activities including kayaking on the Little River and hiking in Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Recreation Area. Mentone has great restaurants and bistros and has a vibrant arts and crafts community and shops. Downtown Chattanooga is 45 minutes away.Floor plan description: The house has 4 levels. From the front walkway, there are 2 short steps to the front deck entering on the main floor which includes the laundry room, den, kitchen, great room, a kingsized bedroom with a full bath that adjoins a twin bed bedroom. The screened in porch is off the main floor. From the main floor going down 5 steps with a hand rail is the downstairs suite with a full bath, king bed, and a bunk bed with twin mattresses. This bedroom goes out to a private lower deck with views of the brow. Once you return to the main floor, there are 8 steps with handrail to the upstairs suite with an additional loft.
