Gardiner Hotels with Wi-Fi

Rooms were clean and comfortable. In room Keurig machine. But-- the staff really shined when the day after Christmas one of our car's tires went from a slow leak to flat. The night crew let the morning crew aware of our predicament. The one main auto shop was closed for a holiday break. Chester the maintenance man located a compressor and located a local who ran a small mechanic's shop. We filled the tire so I could drive the 2 blocks to the shop. Bill the mechanic was able to get the flat fixed. O yeah--all this happening when it was 10 deg. outside. Kudos to Samantha, Allison, Nathaniel, Chester, and one other nice woman whose name I didn't catch but her daughter is friends with the mechanic's daughter. Gardiner's population is less than 1,000 and the nearest bigger town is 50+ miles away so we were glad to get our car back on the road. Gardiner is at the North Gate of Yellowstone. Lodging in the park can be nearly impossible during tourist season. This would be a great place to stay just outside the park. Very pet friendly. Nice areas to walk our Corgi who also made friends with all the staff. Just a reminder to all pet owners---Please pick up.....

The location of this motel is convenient to the park & there is a small grocery store across the street. We had room 103 - take a look at the photos I am attaching & you'll see the issue. It is noted as a ”one king micro-fridge unit” and our rate was about $250/night. We had visits from the local elk right away - fun to watch them go for the apples on the tree out front. I'm sure other rooms in the facility were nice but this one was so snug - absolutely no place to store your luggage. The bedroom area could have used a refresh as the carpeting was pretty worn & gross to walk barefoot on. The sheets on the bed were rough (250 count thread I would guess) & there was a stain on the bedspread. The bathroom was nicely updated, had lovely thick towels but again, very snug. They did provide a coffee pot, basic utensils & dishes, dish soap, sponge, paper towels and even a roll of aluminum foil which was handy in wrapping up leftovers. All of this equaled what I would consider an adequate stay. What was NOT okay was the fact that people mistook our room for the office (see photo). There was a sign on our room door saying ”OFFICE” with an arrow pointing down the adjacent hallway. Unfortunately - people don't pay close enough attention and we had people enter our room not once, but twice thinking they were walking into the office!! Then - at 9:00 at night, we get a loud rap at the door. It was an Amazon delivery!!! Several packages were left on our doorstep for the office! We delivered them the next morning explaining that the delivery was made to our room. This must happen all the time as we didn't even receive an apology. Seriously - I think we had the worst possible room in the place. By the way - I made our reservation over 1 year in advance. We should have been given a better location. At the very least this motel needs to change that signage and keep future customers from dealing with the ”mistaken for the office” issue.

We had an amazing time at the Yellowstone Basin Inn. Daniel and Jeannette were incredibly accommodating to our schedule from arrival to handling any needs that popped up. So close to Gardiner and entrance to Yellowstone, it really helped after long days of driving around the park. Breakfast was great and changed every day. The Rooms and Beds are big and can look out at the stars from the front. Can't suggest it enough!

This is a gem of a spot for what it is. We stayed in cabin 7 which is the largest of the cabins. 2 bed/2 bath with a deck and bbq. The cabin is small but very clean and has all the amenities you need. Tons of kitchen supplies, bath amenities, cooler and ice packs to take to the park and more. It is right across from the grocery store and within walking distance of everything. You can walk to the park entrance if you want. This is perfect for visiting Yellowstone - but not the type of cabin you would want if you want to be “in nature” as it is right in the middle of town. . We had 2 families (7 pp) and it was a bit tight but we were only there in the morning and night. We saw elk and deer on property. I really recommend this property for visiting Yellowstone for all the convenience and nice touches it offers.

The room is very warm, clean and tidy

The hotel in Yellowstone was suddenly cancelled because of the shooting two days ago. I can temporarily set this hotel. Outside the north gate, the town is small but there are some. The hotel room is very clean. Although there is no breakfast, there is a microwave oven and oatmeal. It is also very good.

Stayed one night, would have been better off sleeping in the car. Would have stayed somewhere else, but being right outside Yellowstone, there wasn't any other rooms available. Bed was so worn out that both my husband and I would roll to the sagging area in the middle of the bed, even sleeping on the edges of the bed. Something wrong with bed frame, made horrible noise anytime you got up. Floors were dirty with large tufts of dog hair. Took two short showers, and water was starting to cool partway through the second one. Sheets and towels were stained, and there was something white and crusty all over the exterior of the mini fridge door. Needless to say, this is the last Super 8 we will ever stay in. Would have been better off sleeping in our car.

By far the best hotel of our 3 weeks trip. The check-in was easy to do via email, and we got all the information that we needed when we arrived. Easy access for the rooms. The room is very big, and we got one of the ”smaller” rooms that this hotel offers. It has one room for the kitchen and bar, one bathroom with a bathtub and shower, and one room with a big bed, and a bunk bed. The beds were very soft and comfortable. The hotel also had some Christmas decoration, so we decided to put some decoration in the room. It was September/ October, but it was fun. This hotel doesn't offer breakfast, dinner or doesn't have a bar, but nearby is the Cowboy Lodge and Grill, which is very nice to visit in the area. It is also a short drive to Yellowstone National Park and everything you need is on walking distance from the hotel, like a supermarket, grill, restaurant and breakfast places. It is also amazing to walk around in the area itself of Gardiner. If you are bored, or you want to sit down for a while, there is a fire pit outside, and there are some board games inside the hotel, like Monopoly (normal edition, but also the Yellowstone edition). I didn't find a common seating area, but the room offers a place to sit down as well. I would really promise to come back later, because I would visit Yellowstone and Montana once again later in my life. This hotel is a hidden gem, as it is not just available on *********** or other big sites, we did book via the website of the hotel itself. The prices are reasonable in the area of Yellowstone National Park.

The Absaroka Lodge was a great place for us to stay during our trip to Yellowstone. Chris at the check-in desk was awesome! Informative and kind, he made check-in very easy! All of the staff there were great. We stayed for two nights - very convenient location - less than 5 minutes to Yellowstone's entrance. Walked to dinner both nights (Iron Horse Bar & Grill and the Cowboy Grille), as well as shops and ice cream. You can even walk to the Roosevelt Arch, where we saw elk crossing each night - there were even a few near the lodge. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the Yellowstone River (two chairs and a table). The room was clean (other than a few spiders, but being so close to the river that's not unexpected). Microwave, fridge, A/C, and great TV. Comfortable bed. We would stay again!

We arrived early on our check in date and Joe was able to process our check in early. He took our phone number and called as soon as the room was ready. We rented Bear Cottage #6. Loved it. Clean. Well appointed. We had everything we needed. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Even though the cottage was right on the main road, we slept well and did not notice any road noise . It was like the cottage was soundproof!
