At nearly 9000 feet, you will watch the changing high-altitude weather in comfort and amazement. There is cozy fireside seating by the smart television which offers you Dish cable including local Denver channels for news, sports, weather, plus. Fast Starlink internet allows you to work remotely, enjoy gaming, and use your own streaming services.The kitchen is complete with all the basics you need to cook meals. The sun-room has a washer/dryer. The two bedrooms each have a queen bed. Organic hemp bedsheets are our choice, paired with comforters, extra blankets and pillows. Coffee of course. Beyond, a trail on the property lets the pups (on leash) or children walk and explore. Our cabin is conveniently located just off the Peak to Peak Highway, Route 119, midway between the fun, gambling town of Black Hawk and the town of Nederland, gateway to the Indian Peaks wilderness, in the quiet mountain neighborhood of Meadowlake Mountain Acres. Located on almost two acres, Aspen Meadows has a geological rock formation at the rear of the property, where, after an easy hike up the pathway, you are treated to an almost 360 degree view of the surrounding mountain peaks, including the Continental Divide.Cabin FeaturesAspen Meadows' open floor plan is bright and cheery with large windows and easy communication between the living room, dining room and kitchen. A den/sunroom off the living room is another gathering place and can be closed off to serve as an additional bedroom with the comfy sofa that folds out to a queen-size bed for one or two extra guests. A wood burning fireplace in the living room and a wood stove in the dining room will keep your family warm and cozy, (wood is provided). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, including staples, spices, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. (Nederland's B&F Supermarket is minutes away for convenient stocking up.) If you don't feel like cooking, Nederland also has several fun restaurants and Roy's Last Shot, a family restaurant and bar, is a mile down the road.The master bedroom has a comfy queen-size bed, an en-suite bathroom and French doors which open onto a private deck. Our intention is to provide you with a comfortable place to stay in a beautiful setting. We welcome respectful friends, couples, families, and travelers to come and enjoy the fresh mountain air. We are located in the heart of Gilpin County at 9,000 ft in elevation, close to beautiful hikes, restaurants, casinos, breweries, and so much more!The spaceOur private mountain getaway is super cozy and very spacious for small groups. The space has two queen beds and two full baths suitable for families, couples, travelers, and friends. Guests have the entire house and property to themselves.Living area - The living space is full of natural light and is freshly refurnished. There is plenty of comfortable seating for you and your family to enjoy. The two large windows overlook the front porch and the beautiful mountain views of Golden Gate State Park across the street. We have wifi, a bluetooth speaker, and a smart TV with Netflix, Disney +, Prime, and HBO included. Being up in the mountains cell service can be a bit spotty. We do have a Verizon cell booster and both T-Mobile and At&t have spotty reception. Wifi calling works great!Bedrooms - The two bedrooms with queen beds are suitable for a traveler on the go or an extended stay. Each room offers comfortable bedding, a white noise machine, a steamer, plenty of hangers, large closet, a makeup mirror, and dresser for you to stay organized while being away from home.Kitchen and Dining - Our large kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and entertaining. We have a dining space off of the living room and a few bar stools in the kitchen that makes the perfect breakfast spot.Bathrooms - there are two full bathrooms stocked with high quality shampoo, conditioner, and plenty of comfy towels.We have a beautiful 3 season sunroom off of the master bedroom with big windows that overlook the back deck and our zen water fountain that runs until late fall. The sunroom is perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon tea. On a nice day, which it usually is, you can open the windows and embrace the fresh mountain air while listening to the fountain outside. The back deck offers lots of seating, a grill for cook outs, and two hammocks for you and your friends to enjoy. Our entire back yard is completely fenced in and private. We also have a horse shoe pit located in the front yard!One of our favorite parts of our space is the hot tub! Its super private and will be ready for you to enjoy when you arrive. The tub is not the newest feature on the property but it's clean, comfortable, and a great way to relax after a long day of enjoying the area! We will have a few robes located in the laundry room along with hot tub towels. Our guest are also more than welcome to use the washer and dryer during your stay.Our gravel driveway may be considered steep by some but it does not require a 4x4 vehicle and there are plenty of parking spaces available.As secluded as we are, we are within walking distance to Taggert's convenience & gas located across the street, but not in view from the property. If you're feeling a little adventurous the Underground Liquor Store is also a short quarter mile walk.Winter at 9,000 ft can start as early as September but doesn't fully set in until November. In the winter months you can expect a snow packed, plowed driveway, two sets of snow shoes, and a hot tub ready for you to enjoy.Guest accessOur gravel driveway may be considered steep by some but it does not require a 4x4 vehicle and there are plenty of parking spaces available.Other things to noteOur home is located at 9,000 ft in elevation and is usually about 10-15 degrees cooler than the Denver area. The snowy season can start as early as September but usually doesn't go into full swing until November& December.
