Take a 45 minute drive to Saint Mary to check out the east entrance of the renowned Going-To-The-Sun road. Or continue on another 30 minutes to the Many Glacier Hotel. The West entrance is 55 minutes away. Plus, we are only 75 minutes from the Glacier Intl Airport. As far as insects go, spring is a popular time for mosquitos. Bring layers and bug spray. They mostly choose to hang out around dusk/dawn, so we try to stay inside during those times. August-September is prime moth season around here. Bears can eat up to ~20,000 per day, so we try to live with them rather than against them. They can sneak into the cabin occasionally, but they are harmless.
