Our lake home is located on Belle Taine Lake. The cabin is small but cozy and able to fit comfortably up to 6 people. We have 3 bedrooms/1 bath and a whole lot of 1497 acres of lake!! There are several smart TVs throughout , 2 grills, Blackstone Grill and Weber gas grill for cookouts, and an amazing view of the lake. It is set further back from the lake than some of our other cabins, but it's only a short walk to the water. We have an on-site lodge nearby with books, games, and snacks; dock space for your boat; and boats for rent too. Enjoy this thoughtfully detailed lake cabin for your summer getaway. All the amenities of home but with the slowness and charm of the north. Perched on the crest of a hill overlooking 8th Crow Wing Lake, the views are stunning, peaceful, and ideal for bird lovers to observe nature in action. With expansive windows in every room, you can enjoy the outdoors from the light filled comfort of indoors. Or sit on the large deck and take in the hum of motor boats, loon calls, and humming birds zooming by. You will feel refreshed as soon as you walk in the door of this well loved cabin. The property has much to offer. With woods separating the cabin from neighbors, you will feel secluded and away from it all. A winding pebble path leads you down to the lake, where you'll find a large dock for swimming, fishing or just sitting with a cup of coffee or glass of wine. There is a public boat launch on the opposite side of the lake and guests are welcome to tie up to the dock. Back up on top of the hill, take advantage of the large fire pit and yard activities, like bag toss (games provided).Bring your bikes and explore the Heartland trail. Our favorite tour is from Akley to Walker, it's a beautiful stretch of the trail and Walker has a downtown with lots of shops and parks that are fun to explore. Another great day trip is to start in Nevis, bike to Dorset for a treat at the Dorset House, famous for their ice cream sundays, then end back at the Iron Horse in Nevis for delicious BBQ dinner. No matter what your pleasure, we think you'll have a great time getting to know the cabin and the area. We would love to share this special place with you. We winterize our cabin, so it is available for booking May-October and closed November-April. The dock access is dependent on weather. Our home is the perfect getaway for multiple groups small and large! We most enjoy the beautiful sunsets we get to view from sitting around the fireplace or from the deck or screened in patio. This home is perfect for those wanting to spend lots of time outside and on the water with an easy level walk from the home to the dock. Our canoe, paddle boards, and paddle boat are yours to cruise around on during your stay. A fire pit and lounging chairs are also handy for those wanting to just relax and take in the outdoors. 5th Crow Wing is a very private lake as it does not have a public access. If you would like to launch your own boat you are welcome to do so; the access to 6th Crow Wing Lake is right across the road from us and you can launch there and take a short cruise through the adjoining channel to 5th Crow Wing and dock at our home. 5th Crow Wing is great for fishing in the winter and summer months with lots of Walleye, Northern and Panfish. The kitchen comes stocked with basic cookingware , place settings, and utensils for 14 people. We have wi-fi available for use. WiFi is available and works great if you do need to connect a time or two during your vacation. We also have many games and puzzles available inside that are for you to enjoy during your stay.
