"The Ponce is an older hotel with plenty of charm and character, which was what I was looking for. It has been maintained and updated beautifully. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable.The bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities included pool, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, writing desk with chair, huge HD TV, and free WIFI. A guest laundry room is available. The Ponce is a 15 minute walk or short drive to the St. Augustine old historic site. Shopping, restaurants, and a salon and spa are also minutes away. The Ponce is on the water, and although the restaurant does not face the water, the view is beautiful. The hotel restaurant, the DeLeon, is a Colombian restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic! I can't wait to eat there again. I give the Ponce Hotel a rating of A+++++. I also must mention that I left a pair of diamond earrings in my room, and within an hour of checking out, Negar, the hotel desk receptionist, called me to let me know, and my earrings are being mailed to me. This honesty and going the extra mile is seldom seen today, and I was extremely impressed and grateful. Again,I rate them very highly and plan to return on my next visit."

"My Husband and I travel for work. The Room was not very clean ants on the floor stains on the sheets of one bed. You can hear the traffic all night from the HWY. The floor was just nasty. Really think the housekeepers need some Training or just new housekeepers. Anyways we will never go back again..NEVER..."

"First I am going to star saying that I feel sad I am going back home today. The hospitality of the hotel and the service was above and beyond fantastic. The staff was sooo nice and efficient staring from management to the breakfast guy always with a smile . The entire team was great . Hotel’s location is perfect , you can walk to the old city and is safe at night. Rooms were clean and everyday housekeeping service with new towels and soap . I recommend this hotel 100% no doubts every time I come back to st Augustine I will make my home Hotel las Villas 1565. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"

"We stayed in room 9. It’s a strange small layout. The sitting/living room was too small for the big screen TV ,so we stayed in the bedroom wich had its own TV. The bed was great, very comfy. The bathroom is about the size of an RV bathroom. The toilet is very low. Folks with bad knees or issues standing will have problems getting upThere is"

"The reception was friendly and informative. Housekeeper was nice. She asked if we needed our room refreshed. The location to St George Street wasn't too far of a walk. Just under a mile to cross the St John's River to reach Saint George street."

"I chose it because of price. Out of the way, a little old and worn. But service was good my TV didn’t work but the guy on reception brought a replacement within minutes. Bed beer soft but sheets clean. Unexpectedly breakfast was included, plastic everything and choice limited but the coffee was great. Will I go back, I hope not, but if I did it wouldn’t be the worst place I’ve stayed"

"The hanging rack for clothes was above the refrigerator and not user friendly for adult clothing, more like small kids  clothes. very ridiculous.  I had spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up...the floor was filthy. Not muchWater pressure in the bathroom sink. Shower was good. Room is nice size. When I called 2 different times about the pool if it was indoor or out,  they said indoor...REALLY! It is an outdoor pool, and you can see it from the office window. Hotel is WAY over priced! They did accommodate us and put us on the 1st floor as there are no elevators. Yes we were there from Dec. 20-22 and booked months inadvance. will never go there again."
