I was camping locally and headed down at 430pm for a few drinks and some food ideally in the beer garden with the lovely weather. And was duly informed the beer garden is not open unless its dinner service. What?! There is even a front gate to the beer garden. So basically they can't be bothered to collect glasses. And I can't be bothered to go back. And neither will my family who are Inverness based or any one else I tell. Ridiculous

My son, myself and a friend visited the hotel's restaurant for dinner and whilst the food itself was nice, especially the rice puddings, we all felt it was very, very expensive. With two courses (two of the mains were burgers) and a couple of beers each the bill came to well north of £130 which is frankly ridiculous. We felt the establishment was taking unfair - no, exploitative - advantage of their position where frankly there was little or no choice in terms of alternatives. And, to cap it all, they couldn't even be bothered to have fresh flowers on the tables. Plastic flowers - really? Suffice to say we won't be returning.

If willing to part with some money in order to really treat yourself, then a stay at the Invergarry Hotel with evening meal is just the ticket. All the public spaces are beautifully decorated and the rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. We had steaks for dinner with a red wine sauce and an excellent choice of wines to support (we had a bottle of Chotes du Rhône). Best steak meal we’ve had in years! The staff were friendly and seemed they couldn’t do enough to help. Our only regret was that we only stayed for the one night. This is definitely on our ‘return to’ list.

Stopped for lunch while travelling to Skye. Although the lunch was enjoyable the staff were abrupt and far from welcoming! They really didn’t appear to want to have guests and I wouldn’t have stopped if it wasn’t for the fact we were desperate! Other visitors were also commenting on the rudeness of the staff. Needless to say we be visiting again on the return journey home.

This is a most pleasant hotel with knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful staff. The rooms are wonderful with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. The food in the restaurant was second to none. Breakfast is an experience rarely found.

Fabulous overnight stay. The staff are welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, would highly recommend the waffles with bacon and maple syrup. The snug areas off the bar are so lovely and a great place to unwind and enjoy a tipple. We will definitely book here again.
