The Inverkip Restaurant, Bar & Hotel

When the menu says steak pie, i tend to expect steak pie. What i got was a bowl of stew with the flattest soggiest peice of puff pastry on top. Every peice of food placed on the table with the exception of the chips were microwaved to death. Roasted vegetables microwaved to mushy lumps. Mashed potatoes ? Same. I think every dish comes in a bag and gets heated by Chef Ding. Didn't have dessert don't know what microwaved ice cream taste like but didnt want to risk it. Did Imyself or my wife complain? Well no one came near us to ask how the food was. Do yourself a favour and avoid . Good car park though

Fabulous stay for a wee overnight to catch up with friends. All staff were very welcoming and provided an exceptional service. Room was very nice and bed very comfortable. Weather was superb which allowed us to take advantage of the beer garden. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was lovely. Highly recommend.

We spent 2 nights at the Inverkip hotel as a base for a day trip to Bute. A wonderful small hotel. We were a group of 4 and had the family room with 2 doubles and a twin. Both rooms were nicely appointed and characterful. We ate twice in the restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced with a well chosen short wine list and the bar has an excellent range of whiskies. They also offer a great cooked breakfast with good quality produce which was included in our rate. With all this the thing that made our stay were the wonderful staff, who to a person did everything to make our stay a memorable one, From local history to advice on the whisky selection their knowledge and enthusiasm was palpable. Every team member had a smile and were super polite and helpful. I have stayed in 5 star hotels across the world and many could learn a great deal from the Inverkip Hotel team.

Last minute booking tonight.... a surprise treat for my birthday. Food outstanding, steak cooked to perfection. Service above and beyond. Live music in the background which was just lovely. An absolute treat of a night.

Where do you start! Absolutely amazing... My colleague and I were thoroughly impressed. From check-in to departure, everything was exceptional. The staff were brilliant throughout the stay and we look forward to our next visit to this exceptional hotel!

It was my 63rd birthday we went out for a nice meal well it wasn’t nice it was just outstanding truly delicious food. Haggis Bob bobs to die for service also was as ever first class. One of the best places to eat on the east coast with a whisky selection to die for .
