Old North Inn Hotel, Inverness

Just had a fantastic dinner at the Old North Inn. The food was excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive. Excellent service, good fun and great banter. It was a family night out for a joint birthday celebration with my wee boy. He has a learning disability and the staff could not have been more patient and kind to him. He had a great time as we all did, and I enjoyed one of the best steaks I ever had. The meal deals were great value for money. I highly recommend checking this place out. We will definitely be back very soon. Thank you Tina and staff for a wonderful birthday 👍

Gorgeous find just outside of Inverness. Accommodation is compact, neat, and comfortable. Cute little touches made the room feel homey. We were not looking for fancy expensive accommodation on our trip. We wanted quaint, pub-like, atmosphere, and comfort. We got that here. The staff are so friendly and helpful. All smiling faces and happy to see us come back each evening. Food was pretty good too. Enjoyed every meal there and the portions were generous. You do need good knees of you want to stay in old pubs because the rooms are always upstairs Definitely recommend, loved it.

We frequently return to this pub whenever in the Highlands as you know you're going to get a good meal and friendly service. Upon our visit today (19/09/2024) nothing was too much trouble for the staff, in particular one lady (not sure of her name!) Who after asking what gin she kept, gave me a detailed run down of what she had, recommended a very tasty tarquin rhubarb and raspberry gin (highly recommend!) And then allowed me to sample some new vodka liquers they'd recently had in. In between serving she would have a chat with each table individually making you feel most welcome making up for the slight wait between courses, clearing plates etc. The food itself was delicious- the best chicken burger I've had! A simple menu yet a lot to choose from and something to suit everybody! Would definitely recommend if you're passing through and wanting a good hearty meal and the warmest welcome!

A very friendly welcome from both the manager and a young and enthusiastic staff. Food was excellent! We chose the chef’s special… halibut on a bed of crushed potato with samphire and kale, shrimp and a white wine sauce! Go chef Harley!!! We shall certainly be back.

This is about 25 minute easy drive from Inverness airport. We selected this hotel as it was on route to Skye which was our next destination. Large car park with garden to the rear overlooking fields. We stayed one night, friendly greeting, room was lovely and bright and very clean. We were situated over the kitchen so we did get the kitchen smells during the cooking hours but that was fine. Nothing nearby so we happily ate at the hotel. Lovely bar food. The young waiting staff were friendly and helpful and service was really good. Food was delicious. The bar had a lovely ambience, a large group, another couple and a couple of passing cyclists dropped in for a meal. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to leave it! Breakfast cooked was good but if you want continental it is quite basic. The next day after we had checked out I thought it’d left my sunglasses in the room , the young staff member was so helpful in helping me try locate them, thankyou. We would definitely consider this hotel again. It was expensive at £140 I think we paid, for the level of hotel it was, though so i would knock off £50 and then say it was worth the money. Try it though, we’d go back.
