The hotel is right next to the train station, and all the attractions and restaurants are nearby, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the facilities and everything we needed were as expected.

Excellent location. Very small and poorly appointed room for over £200 per night. Not good value for money. Room and bathroom need upgrading.

The hotel is from 1856 so it isn’t going to be ticking all your modern hotel boxes. It was clean, well presented and the staircase (that reportedly inspired Thomas’s Andrew’s design of the Titanic staircase) is a feature to behold. Our room was a good size, had comfortable twin beds and a good shower and bath. If you want to stay in a convenient location directly beside the train station and a stones throw from the bus station and local amenities, then this is well worth a look. It is very much like stepping back in time.

Literally 20 seconds from the exit of Inverness station, this Victorian era hotel is lovely. The staff were all pretty friendly, and whilst the decor in the rooms might be a little on the worn side, I could not complain about anything there. Also, it was priced much better than other hotels in town, which was a major plus for a short stay.

This hotel was a stopover during our trip to the Scottish Highlands. The location was decent, but the facilities were quite old. We were given a room right by the fire door, and the noise of it closing and people walking by was quite disruptive.

Quite an old hotel. Hotel room has a flight of stairs up after getting off to the floor via lift. A little inconvenience for heavy luggages. Location is great just by the underground station.

Royal highland hotel is well located and they are just nest the mall. The hotel is well kept and room is well maintained. Areas are surrounding by restaurants and pub. The only cons is that car parking lots is limited and it first come first serve basic. Min walk to castle and major attractions

I always try to stay here on my trips to Inverness. Friendly staff, literally seconds from the train station entrance. Room warm with all the amenities you need and a huge bath with hot water all day. Super comfy bed and fine bed linen. Hotel combines traditional Scottish character, tartan carpets, stag heads that sort of thing, with modern touches, displays of modern art etc. Great lounge to use at reception.

The accommodation is right next to the train station, making it easy to travel around. It's also close to many food options. The room isn't small, and the hotel is beautiful.

The facilities are average, it's an older hotel. They're very big on art, with lots of original paintings and even an ongoing art exhibition.

Great location, very comfortable. Free hotel car parking is limited so you have to get lucky then resist the urge to use your car during your stay

Excellent location close to all amenities and thats before I got in the door. Front of house, reception staff were very friendly and most helpful. My room was on the ground floor which was ideal for me, and it was spotlessly clean and warm.
