Wow, what an amazing place to stay. When we first arrived at the lovely lodge , number 9 i was blown away by the coziness. There was a lovely log burner in the sitting room which i couldnt wait for the evening to come along and light. A cheery kitchen that had everything that was needed if we wanted to make a meal during our stay. The bathroom had a lovely bath with a shower, plenty of storage for all our toiletries. Towels were supplied. There was a bedroom with twin beds, we didnt need to use that as there was only 2 of us. The main bedroom had a double bed, hanging space for clothes as well as a chest of drawers. Nice and clean and the bed was comfy too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was outstanding. The night skies should not be missed. The morning sunrises are also something to be admired. I cannot wait until we return. My husband & I really enjoyed our stay. If you are wanting somewhere to stay , away from the bussle of life, this is the place to stay. We met the lovely Ciorstaidh who welcomed us to the lodge, made sure we were happy with everything and said that if there was anything else that was needed to make our stay any better then let her know. We didnt need to as the stay was perfect and we had everything we needed. Highly recommened :)

Generally it is a nice place because of the area, not because of the houses or service quality. To be more particular there are two things that spoiled our vacations: 1. The hygiene is quite poor, especially plaids and cushions. Both my kids got a head lice and nits during our stay. So instead of having a nice time - I gave nits treatment to the whole family. 2. There was a gap in the front door, so without keeping the heating all the time house gets cold easily. Please be super attentive while staying there and do not touch plaids or cushions. (They literally never get cleaned)

Fun having a cabin to stay at while on vacation and driving through the U.K. and Scotland. Getting into the cabin was easy via the emailed code/communication and it was spacious, and each cabin has its own parking spot. I would recommend that the owners of the property be available a bit more, as we drove by the hut upon entering/exiting the property numerous times at all hours and no one was ever there. Plus, our satellite TV did not work whatsoever, and I assume whoever stayed at the cabin prior to us had the same issue with the TV as it was impossible to figure out and all the cables were mixed/matched between the DVD, TV, and Satellite connector. The Wi-Fi worked fine though, which made me wonder why they just don't use their internet for TV and get rid of satellite altogether... There is a wood burning stove as well, which worked well once the fire got started, but the wood is out in a shed and is somewhat damp, so it takes a while to get it to light and stay lighted. The road getting up to the cabins is single lane, so you need to pull over at the Passing Places (or they for you), which isn't a big deal but worth knowing about.

Nice self catering lodge. Great scenery. We had a good time, but the bathroom in the lodge is old and not pleasant, same as kitchen, but I think if the lodge was cleaner, then it would be more pleasant. In total place is good and location is excellent.

Lovely quiet place with cosy lodges. Perfect place to take a brake and chill. Very good free WiFi connection. Fully equipped kitchen. TV with freeview, some board games, 2 types of heating- electric heaters and fireplace. Very comfy sofas. Wooden table and solid wood chairs also very attractive.

If I could rate more I would! We drove 7+ hours for our staycation this year and boy was it worth it! Our Lodge Cabin was Thistle 2. We were greeted with Tea & Coffee facilities and our pooch had a welcome box, which he very much enjoyed! The lodge was clean, towels & bedding provided, as well as cleaning supplies!!!! Logs provided for the fire and extra left In the cabin. The use of a kettle, microwave, fridge freezer, iron & vacuum all in the cabin too. The grounds are very well kept and maintained. I spoke to one lady (So sorry I didn't catch your name!) Who came to speak to my reactive dog (Sorry!) Thankfully she understood the circumstances of his reactiveness. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and the air smells a different type of clean. I can't describe it, we live in a city so maybe we just too use to the fumes. It is only a short drive to local amenities & attractions. I finally found a Highland cow too! Although they were very skeptical of me trying to snap a cheeky photo! There is a small play area that I would say for 5/6 & under. It was lovely to find so many bird feeders and streams through the site, I presumed this was because Ancarraig Lodges are on their own water system, however, they looked very clean! We were lucky to visit when the weather was good, I would suggest travelling with winter tyres on the car as the hill up to the Great Glenn Way is STEEP! All in all I highly recommend, the money is well worth it and I will be back, maybe in a double glazed Lodge this time. I am far too used to the ease of the locks 😆.

Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Had everything we needed. Lodges were spaced out nicely so we’re very private. Children’s play area. 3 miles from Drumnadrochit, but small shop on site selling some essentials and lovely gifts. Very friendly staff. We’ll definitely be back.

Stayed in Lodge 9 for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The view from the verandah was stunning. You could see a small part of Loch Ness through the trees. It was warm and sunny which added to the enjoyment and the scenery. Very quiet and peaceful. Lodge was clean and comfortable. Approach road from Drumnadrochit is single track, quite steep, in parts, and winding but luckily not very busy.
