The hotel is old, living up to the local architecture, however its facilities are in perfect condition. I found a call! Very polite attendants. There is no private parking, but it didn't work. There is a public car park a few meters away which charges £5 per day.

We visited inverness for a short time and we honestly couldn’t of had an easier accommodation experience, the staff are very friendly and attentive to your every need, when we first arrived they upgraded our room for free and let us check in early further more when we wanted breakfast in the morning it only cost us £10 a head and they offer a wide range of breakfast options, when we checked out they also let us keep our bags at the house whilst we spent our last few hours exploring the city. Highly recommend, priced well too.

What a delightful B&B! Charming, tasteful touches of Scotland throughout the establishment add to a warm and welcoming scene. Our room (#11) can accommodate 4 - including bunk beds. Even the lampshades are made from authentic Scottish T****. The hosts thought of everything. From tea and biscuits, to QR codes for WiFi connection, local map, and breakfast menu. The breakfast room is bright with large windows and the servers were all pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious and filled us for a full day of exploring. Parking is tight but off street, allowing for east access to things if needed. The stroll into town for the evening took us alongside the rushing river, across the beautifully lit bridge, and in the heart of pubs, restaurants, and shopping. It was incredibly convenient. Fabulous place, people, food— we will be back!

GGuest User 2022.10.23
Good breakfast, very helpful front desk staff, good beds and pillows, bathroom small but efficient. Toiletries minimal, but workable. Broken light fixed quickly. But the overriding issue was noise from neighbours, primarily due to thin walls. TV from one side early in the morning, and late night conversation on the other side. I don’t think they were unreasonable— just the sound insulation was poor.

A previous reviewer was really down on the King's Club which is a newer adjunct to the older Kingsmill Hotel where the main dining room and bar are located. I'm not sure if we could both be reviewing the same place. First of all I found the staff very helpful and nor clueless as suggested. The rooms are quite nice and I really enjoyed the outdoor patio with the Inverness golf course only a few feet away. Watching and chatting with passing golfers and dog walkers was a bonus. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom which had a separate bathtub & shower. The breakfast buffet was quite nice if not over the top and the fruit was not old as suggested and the eggs were not disgusting. In fact they were presented exactly as at the Gleneagles resort which is definitely five star. It was an easy fifteen minute walk into the heart of Inverness. Overall I would certainly recommend the King's Club.

The room is spacious and clean. The only hiccup was that, at first, we got a room with a double bed despite booking a family room on Trip.com. When I asked the reception staff, she said there was no family room per se in the building, and in the booking that they had, it didn't say that I wanted a family room or how many people would be sleeping in the room. For them, a family room is a room with a double bed and an extra bed. The staff managed to change our room to one with an extra bed ready, so it wasn't a problem.

I have now stayed at the Priory on 2 occasions and will be returning again. This is a family run hotel and this is reflected in the high standard of accommodation and service. The staff are courteous and professional and clearly on the ball. The restaurant is sensibly priced and serves an imaginative menu, and high quality food. You can tell the restaurant is popular as it is a busy place, patronised by non residents from the area, as well as hotel guests. There no is also a separate more informal bar with reasonably priced drinks. The hotel seems to pride itself on the standard of customer care. Thanks again for a great stay.

GGuest UserLocated five minutes outside of Drumnadrochit, but the owner gave us excellent directions and we found it without a problem. You do need to drive to find somewhere to eat (and there’s very limited choice in the evenings), but the owners recommended the Loch Ness Inn which we dropped in to before arrival and the food and beer were excellent Warm friendly welcome by the lady of the house, showed us around and explained everything. Room was excellent – very spacious and all controlled by Amazon Echo (including the heating). View from our window was across Loch Meiklie and there were even binoculars in the room for a better view. Coffee / tea making facilities with an array of snacks to help ourselves to if we wanted. Bathroom was great with large walk in shower. Bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was continental only, but it was stunning. Wide range of pastries, cereal, fruit etc with a selection of cold meats and different cheeses – one of our favourite breakfasts of our two weeks in Scotland. The hosts Stu and his wife were first class – excellent conversation over breakfast Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in this part of the country.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is far from the city center, but it is convenient for self-driving and has a good environment. The room is old and old-fashioned, with poor sound insulation, but it is still relatively clean. The breakfast is more English, but also has Scottish characteristics, with several different choices. I had dinner once in the hotel, and it felt average, not worth recommending.

YYoungThe wifi was horrible. It didn’t work at all. The parking was impossible. We parked our car 5minutes walk away. The car park was full of cars already and Impossible to negotiate. The room wasn’t the same as online booking. A bit weird bathroom. Online We checked our room has a garden wide but there wasn’t a garden view. It was just blocked with narrow wall. The only thing that we liked was breakfast. I

I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! It reminded me of staying at a sleep-away camp and had a friendly sense of community to it. I also was able to sit and do work on my computer in the lobby (the hostel also gave me free hot tea). The staff members were so kind and made us feel comfortable right away. Upon arriving to my room, it was warm, cozy, and clean. The only con is the location, as it was around a 20 minute walk to the city centre. Regardless I had a great stay and would highly recommend to students and groups of friends looking for a comfortable place to stay in Inverness.

GGuest UserReally disappointing experience compared with the photos displayed on their website. Here on business for four nights. On my first night I was allocated a room with a connecting door, the guests next door returned to the hotel around 11.30pm and played music till 3am. It felt like they were in the room with me. I honestly don’t think they were that loud, just absolutely no sound proofing in the room. I requested a room change as I had confidential calls to make, the reception quickly allocated another room for me, but based on the accommodation areas it is just a very tired hotel. Tight entrance into room and toilet area. Have to say lovely breakfast and food in the restaurant was good, as are the staff. Sorry would not choose to return.

GGuest UserBest night sleep I had while in Scotland. Room was small, but clean, clean, clean! We were worried that the squeaky hallway would mean a noisy night if people walked by, but didn’t hear it all. I had had a pretty rough day, but the warm welcome we had from the gentleman at the front desk started a turn around in my day. He was helpful, gracious, and gave great advice about things to do and see. And in the evening, he helped me carry/run my late night snacks (cheese board and desserts) through the rain to my door. Not sure of his working hours, but he always seemed to be at the front desk! The ladies behind the bar at the upstairs restaurant were hilarious and worked really well with each other, as well as providing great customer service. Wi-fi was good. Electric showers had great water pressure and obviously, plenty of hot water. Comfy bed. Coffee and tea in room with cute novelty cups; and cups were a nice size (proper cupper in the morning). No lift and thicker carpet, so easier to carry cases than drag them. Plenty of parking in back. Close to most things at Loch Ness and only about 2 miles to Urquhart Castle.

GGuest UserOk so it’s a hostel ! But in this day and age i expect it to be cleaned between the different parties staying here ! It’s more than just the bedding needs changed and cleaned regularly ! Ok guests please keep the kitchen clean and tidy well it didn’t happen and the mould in the fridge and the general cleanliness of shared areas left a lot to be desired !! Sorry regardless of it being our responsibility when clearly it’s not being done staff should be ensuring health and safety is paramount especially given the current climate We cleaned up after ourselves but unless we went in with scrubbers, bleach and steam cleaners it would take days to clean up the mess that was the kitchen I was in a room two singles and a double and not enough room leftover to swing a cat never mind put all our gear bags etc we were literally on top of each other There’s no shared sitting room or anywhere other than the kitchen to relax, converse or do anything really ! The bathroom was ok apart from the bath panel Hanging off oh and the mould around the bath/shower but it was hot !
