The location is convenient, near historic Ironbridge and museums. Guests appreciated the excellent service from the staff. The breakfast at the neighboring pub was praised as great and of good standard.

I had a lovely one night stay, beds very comfortable and food in the pub attached was delicious. Would definitely book again.

Darrell was an absolute treat, finally a place with atmosphere and genuine customer service with a personality. We had a poor experience at another local establishment, it’s safe to say Darrell and Liam saved the day. Excellent food, great team. 10/10

We chose to stay here for a one night stay, on our way to an event in Shrewsbury, and to add another night to our weekend away. The Swan pub was once an 18th century malt house, so the room was a bit quirky and reflected the age of the property, but it was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a large en-suite and tea & coffee etc provided in the room. We didn't actually use the shower, so can't comment on how good it was. Nor did we eat or drink in the pub, as we prefered the menu at the sister pub next door (The Malthouse, which we have stayed in before and would have again, but the Swan was much cheaper!) The rooms have their own entrance to the car park, so you can come and go outside of the pub opening times. The car park is quite small and a bit tatty, but we managed to get a space when we arrived. There is also street parking and a public car park nearby if the pub car park is full though. Our room had a nice view of the river across the road, and the outside drinking area, but we didn't experience any noise from the pub at all. Having said that, we spent the evening at the pub next door as they had a really good live band playing, and the Swan was close to closing time when we returned to the room! We had a large family room with a double and a single bed in the room and it was very spacious. The bed was a little soft for our liking, but that's just personal preference and we slept ok. We would definitely stay here again, if the price was as reasonable as it was this time.

The first impression when we arrived was that it looked old. But when we went inside, the hotel and the dinner place looked even older and more neglected. The room is very basic, the bed is squeaky and there is not even a shelf for clothes in the wardrobe. You can't stand up in the bathroom and take a normal bath.

The location is ideal and parking was easy. The staff were welcoming and helpful and checked us in early as our room was ready. The bar and food menu was excellent and good value. The room was comfortable and well equipped with a large bathroom with bath and hand held shower attachment. The room decor was tired and the bathroom decor circa 1980s! Breakfast was good and at the hotel/pub next door. Unfortunately, despite having questioned whether it was a quiet room, which was confirmed, they did not advise there was a live band playing the evening of our stay. We went to our room early as we'd had a long journey and were going to watch TV before an early night but at 2015 the music started and sounded as if it was in the room with us. We could not even hear the TV. In the end we got dressed again and went back downstairs till it ended at 2230. By then we were totally exhausted. Had we known we would have had a nap in the afternoon and gone back out in the evening.

There is a special place in hell for the hotel owners who chose to have a hotel and play music till 11pm so loud I am going deaf in my room. When I went downstairs to check how long this cacophony is going to last, I had to put fingers in my ears. I sincerely hope the owners of this hotel will go to hell listen to loud music for eternity with no chance of sleeping and will have to pay for it too.

First impression count, on arrival very unkempt outside a huge pile of old mattresses in the carpark. Entering the pub a young man whilst pleasant was no able to answer are questions. The room was very much in need of some serious upgrade. Metal bed which creaked at every movement. The toilet cistern ran continually. The shower overthe bath had no overhead bracket you had to sit on bathside and shower as best you could. Not easy for us pensioner's. Everywhere was grubby paint chipped. Having to walk to Sister Hotel for breakfast. The food was OK but obviously cheaper ingredients HD been used. Young staff who didn't have much idea. All in all a poor accommodation experience. Ironbridge was very Interesting and we would come back to the area. However the Swan is a definite non return.
