Schlosshotel Ischgl 5-Sterne Superior

I can highly recommend this wonderful hotel. Impeccable service throughout. Especially guest arrangements by Julia and concierge by Moritz. The rooms are large and stylish. Spotlessly clean. The dining facilities are superb. Wonderful breakfast both a la carte and buffet. Delicious food in the dining room. They organised everything for us, be it collection from the airport, ski instructor (Christian Pfeiffer is exceptional), ski passes and equipment. All simple and seamless. They also have a fantastic spa. Moritz booked wonderful restaurants for us each night. Great dining at the 5 star hotel next door. That was magnificent. Also Lucy Wang (sushi / Asian) and Prenner ranked as outstanding. And as I mentioned the hotel itself has excellent food and service. We could not recommend this hotel more highly.

Dining there with such a good team made the visit special. Good wine list. Great apres-ski options on site and within a short walking distance.

Excellent stay at a top hotel in Ischgl. Having just returned from a week at the schlosshotel with a group of friends I can fully recommend the hotel in terms of its location, service, food and amenities. The staff have been amazing and couldn’t have been more attentive, from the breakfast to the evening meal they were superb, making sure any dietary/food requests were met quickly and always friendly. We stayed half board for a week and ate in the Kristallsaal Restaurant where we had a varied 6 course meal each evening. The food was beautifully presented and very well cooked, offering typically a meat, fish or vegetarian choice of main course. Whilst wines were also recommended there was plenty of choice on the full wine list - and a wide range of prices too !! Breakfast is buffet style but there are also plenty of dishes that can be ordered fresh from omelettes, pancakes, eggs benedict etc etc so plenty to get you through a full day on the slopes. There is a ski shop for hire/servicing and storage for your own skis etc there also. Our group all had our skis serviced whilst there and they were well prepped overnight and ready next morning. In terms of access to the slope, the hotel is easy to ski back to at the end of the day - a red run (route 1) down from the top although this can be busy in places when everyone is heading back as lifts start closing. There are many comments about ski out - the hotel is about 50m from the main road, and you can ski out from the front or side of the hotel to the road 50m away (or walk the same) and then there is a very short 3-4 min walk to the Silvrettabahn gondola which really isn’t much effort . As always Ischgl is great for apres ski - the TrofanaAlm bar next door is lively as is the Champagnebar next door. There was some noise late at night from here and the street below but we only heard this if the slept with the windows open, otherwise once closed there was little disturbance. Our room was right at the front overlooking the street - prior to staying we had a few concerns about noise but having now stayed there it really wasn’t a problem, everyone in our group slept soundly (helped by a few drinks over the evening I suspect)! Overall I couldn’t fault the hotel and would highly recommend it and the excellent staff who will look after you very well. If there’s anything you need just ask them!

In the past, this was a very classy hotel; nowadays, it's filled with noisy Russians and Romanians. The breakfast is meager, nothing special, just some toast with egg. It's best to skip the evening dinner; I've never experienced anything so mediocre. Instead, book a table at a good restaurant in the village. The management, along with a team of five, loudly convene meetings in the lobby, where guests would normally sit. They discuss finances loudly, brainstorming potential improvements to make more money. It's incredibly antisocial and a very odd situation for guests trying to read a book nearby. I would suggest investing in a proper meeting room. It has become a village solely for single men; women are as rare as hen's teeth. The après-ski venues have turned into a sort of meat market, making your wife feel uncomfortable quickly. Ischgl is no longer the charming family ski resort it used to be. It has turned into a bull's fest, ending in nightly brawls with glasses flying around in the après-ski bars. We won't be going next year.

This is just how a great hotel should be. All the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for us, there was always plenty of staff on reception to help with anything you needed and the hotel never felt busy. The restaurant food was great, with fantastic service and the bar was the same. The rooms were great too. Not a single complaint about this hotel. It wasn't cheap, but I felt we got very good value for money . I will stay only here when I go to ischgl again.

Pros - Stunning hotel - Location is perfect - Ski in/out is just a bonus - Lobby area for drinks and games - Spa is beautiful- adults only from 6pm. - Food was fantastic. A big thank you to Sophia the resturant manger for personalising our evening menus. Mauella our fabulous server. Cons - Room is small - Shared balcony - Champagne bar had a strange vibe and staff are not very welcoming. But we found the most perfect wine bar at the bottom of the hill to the right.

This was probably the best hotel i ever stayed, certainly in the Alps. Everything 100% was perfect. Location amazing, right in centre of Ischgl, you can actually ski down next to the hotel entrance. The half board option was superb, 6 course dinner each night was amazing, quality of food and service . Amazing variety on wine list. Breakfast just sensational, lots of choice, nice breads and mix of foods. Fantastic tough to give a newspaper with the day snow report and ski conditions, The room we had was deluxe with view of mountain. Amazing comfy bed, spacious, lots of hanging space, i never had a hotel provide so many coat hangers!. Bathroom perfect , great shampoos and body washes. Hotel spa modern and luxurious, not overstated Hotel bar area really wonderful lots of space, cosy , nice bar staff. Hotel has traditional style you feel you are in the Alps , bit modern day services. Ski hire was so easy and they also provide the ski pass in the hotel reception,. Local bars and restaurants within a few yards from the hotel Cannot wait to come to this hotel again. Top notch thank you !
