Flodigarry Hotel

I stayed 2 nights here and absolutely loved my experience. The hotel at this time of year is quieter and so peaceful, I imagine in summer it’ll be very busy! The hotel is situated in a really secluded and BEAUTIFUL area in north east Skye. You feel totally surrounded by woodland and nature and then it has stunning views out into the ocean where I had a pot of tea each morning outside watching the stunning sunrise. I also went out a walk in the local area and just stumbled upon a beautiful loch and stunning mountains less than 10 mins away!! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had such a laugh with Jakub! As a solo traveler it felt so easy to talk to them and tell them about my day. Their service is impeccable and the FOOD!!!! The food quality is unbelievable. Absolutely delicious with fresh locally sourced ingredients. PLEASE TRY the Aberdeenshire butteries for your breakfast - next level!! I had room 2, a beautifully spacious room with a large bed and lovely views into the gardens. Big flat screen tv with Netflix and YouTube - lovely bathroom with a large bath that I enjoyed unwinding in at night with the passion fruit martini after lots of adventuring and hiking throughout the day. The hotel is a little on the expensive side but I promise you, the service, quality and natural beauty of the place - you will 100% not regret a thing Highly recommend. Thank you for having me! Wonderful location, very nice welcome (we arrived late and under heavy rain). Awesome view. They found a solution and got us a table for dinner. Very pleasant lady advising on dishes etc… Room was cute, bed very comfortable, but toilet was leaking and heating in bathroom not working. There was room above with noisy neighbours, their steps woke us up early morning (we were room 23). Too sad that you reserve tables with view at breakfast when people do not show up before 09:30. Many people asked like us about the same table since early morning and it remained empty over 1h until 09:30. It is frustrating and for breakfast it should be first come first served basis. The sad part of the experience was that the couple who reserved the table, did not enjoyed the view but the lady came with her computer when we left …

We only stayed for one night but wish we had booked for longer. Our room was upgraded to a sea view king size room in the main hotel. It was fabulous. Super comfy bed, fluffy luxurious towels and robes. Stunning views across the water with 2 chairs placed by the window to relax and watch the sea. We received a very warm welcome and great service from all bar and restaurant staff. The food was delicious. We will definitely come back.

We must have been amongst the first visitors to the newly renovated Flodigarry Hotel and it did not disappoint. We had a room in the Flora McDonald cottage and it was so lovely - decorated in a modern style with tasteful Scottish touches - and the views over the water are stunning. The staff were excellent. One remembered I was a pescatarian from dinner and gave me a heads up that the broth at lunch contained beef stock, another asked if I was feeling better at breakfast because I’d asked him for honey and lemon the night before to soothe a sore throat, and the man at reception was very helpful in formulating our weekend plans. But the real MVP here was the food which was nothing short of excellent - I’ll be thinking about that ginger bread dessert for quite some time, and the smoked haddock toasted sandwich for lunch was divine. And the breakfast!! I can’t get over what good value this hotel was. I’m almost afraid to gush too much in case it’s booked out when I want to return… Highly, highly recommend.
