The Marmara Pera

Istanbul|2.42km from Caferaga Madrasa - Handicrafts Center
Arrived last Friday evening, nice welcome, was informed I had to pay for my room, I had pre-paid, which on inspection, it was agreed I didn't have to pay again.... Dinner on Friday night was exquisite, fabulous service, amazing food, expensive but worth it, the restaurant and rooftop bar are independent of the hotel. Saturday morning, went for a lovely breakfast, back to the room and realised my room door did not lock, informed reception, and a gentleman arrived shortly afterward to check the door. Firstly he said it was my key card that was at fault. When I asked if I could show him the issue, he rolled his eyes and said no. When he did allow me to demonstrate, he walked away from me saying it was technical. I had to call after him to see if it would be fixed, he did not turn around but walking away said, ten minutes. the door was fixed eventually but the whole episode took around an hour. Before I left the hotel (11:20am) I dropped a dress at reception to be pressed. I got back to the hotel just before 9pm, went to my room, no dress, down at reception i asked where it was, the gentleman on reception called the laundry service, and at the end of the call, I had to ask what was happening. I was told laundry would call him back. He then asked what I had left, colour etc. so it could have been in the laundry in a sister hotel, I would get it on Sunday. I explained I was leaving on Sunday and needed the dress now, if it hadn't been ironed yet, to just return it to me.

Hotel Saint Sophia

Sultan Ahmed Mosque Istanbul|0.06km from Caferaga Madrasa - Handicrafts Center
Highly recommended, location: Istanbul - the core location of the old town tour. Opposite the window is the groundwater palace exit; another room window facing the Sofia Cathedral, 50 meters walk from the back door of the hotel is the exit and entrance of Topkapi Palace; the entrance to the hotel is 60 meters away from the entrance to the Sofia Church, the entrance to the church Close to the Blue Mosque and the Church Square; it is a century-old house in the old European district. It seems that the pedestrians who appear on the window are very European. In the morning, we walked along the wall of Topkapi Palace to the beach to see the locals swimming in the sea; visit the church, the palace, and the mosque; the hotel is very close, you can go back to the room and take a shower before you can go; see the pedestrians and dogs in the square in the afternoon. Dogs play; at night, the church and the square are dimly lit, and there are many barbecues and various food choices around the street. Look for locals to visit and enjoy the food. It is very convenient to live in the scenic spot; Hotel service: 8:00 early flight to the hotel, handsome guys chat for a while, help us to stay directly. Very enthusiastic. Hotel soft service is 5 star quality; the hotel has 2 free bicycles, and interested friends can cycle around Sofia Square. Hardware facilities: The rooms are not large. For those who are used to large-sized luxury houses, they should be mentally prepared in advance. It is difficult to expect large rooms in the old European city. The room area is in line with our expectations. The interior is equipped with fine details and various services, belonging to the boutique hotel. Breakfast: more abundant, there are questions about the degree of omelette and coffee juice, the service is 5 stars. During the period, there were lonely boasting people who performed similar rotating dance music. The next day, considering the need to go to the Grand Bazaar to facilitate the peninsula of another hotel in AJW, it turned out to be a mistake and should stay in the hotel for another night. AJWa is twice as expensive. In the vicinity of the Grand Bazaar, the interior decoration is luxurious, but it needs a very steep slope. It is very hard. It is a wholesaler of shoes. It is a bit messy at night. It is still a little worried to walk back to the alley of the hotel. .

We stayed in the Ottoman Hotel Imperial, an idyllic hotel, right alongside Aya Sofya, what could be more romantic! The staff were really helpful, especially the manager, Mr Serdar. We were recommended by the brothers Hasan and Ugur Karaca, from Heritage Nomadic Art store, underneath. All in all the trip was a success, good hotel and wonderful gifts in the store below!

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
Excellent location of the hotel! Near all the shrine of the old city: Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Bazilica Town, TOPKAPI Palace with the park, St. Irina, archaeological museum, near Bosphorus. Many delicious cafes, restaurants, sweets, carpets, clothing and ornaments, three stops by tram GRAND BAZAAR (7 minutes walk). Eat and dinner in cafes and restaurants where locals sit, even if it is a small cafe on 4 tables. It will be cozy and delicious.

Zeynep Sultan Hotel

we are finishing our one week stay in Istanbul and we are happy for choosing the Zeynep sultan hotel. It's in a perfect location: a few steps from Gülhane tram stop and nice Gülhane park. From the hotel terrace you can see minarets of Hagia Sophia:) The Hagia Sophia itself is really near:) But the most important thing is the hospitality of the hotel staff! Teşekkür ederiz !

I went with my husband and child for 4 years in February. I lived in the 3rd local room. The room is very warm, hot water, clean bed, towels. Good mattress, pillows. The room itself is clean, tidy but old, the plumbing is also flowing. But that didn't stop. There was cleaning every day, towels were also changed. Very friendly and responsive administrator. Breakfasts are uniform but saturated (egg, vegetables, chips, coffee/tea, biscuits), additionally there were pancakes, pie. At request made omlet. Overall calm and quiet, but sound isolation leaves you wish for the best. But since the hotel itself is inside the alley, there was no strong noise. Location 10/10! In general, since the hotel was only needed for sleep, this is an excellent option.
