It’s not a bad hotel..

The hotel is rated 4 stars but actually I would give max 3 stars. In general was ok but cleanliness wise not the best. Toilet seer had marks of diarrhoea on the side of the seat. Toilet paper it’s a very cheap quality can’t even clean your bum. The towels were fairly clean but not the best I have ever seen for four star. The mattress is really poor quality and you feel like you’re sleeping on the floor. The covers was not enough for two people to sleep on so we were fighting over the cupboard all night. Complimentary drink inside the room,was not looked after the teabags was probably there for the last 10 years. The breakfast was alright nothing special. Please do not take the words in the reception on any recommendation for any other businesses such as restaurants they send us to a restaurant where we got dropped off.

Very rude staff also not give everyday water everyday given by every hotel no housekeeping mosquitoes inside the room after complaining that they threatened me because of that my vertigo problem happened and I have not got my medicine here

This hotel gave me no consideration when i canceled early and asked them for a refund or credit. They didn't even bother to respond to my email. I plan to visit Taksim again, but I will never stay here.

I have stayed at over 100 different Hotels in my life, and TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Taksim is by far the WORST hotel experience I have had!! They threw me out within a 15 min notice, even though the company had told them I had to stay until 18 PM. because my flight was at 20 PM. Afterward, they used 20 minutes to calculate the minibar... They gave me a 15 minutes notice at 11.45, while standing at the door waiting for me to pack my stuff, and told me if I was 1 minute late, they would charge me for one extra night. That resulted in In; I had to rebook my flight for: 122€ I lost my favorite shirt: 200€ I lost my Chromecast: 30€ The alternative would for me to walk around in Istanbul after my operation for 6 hours. I'm getting sick by the thought how they treated me.

The rooms and hotel is clean and nice in appearance. Check-in and our staff were okay. There was no advice on where the room was or room number, just handed a key and pointed at lifts. At the lifts there were no signs to tell you what floor your room would be. To no honest though, the main reason for my low 3 out of 5 review is the food and waiter service. When arriving for dinner at 7 we were literally pointed into the restaurant where tables were half layers or set with pre poured water (unsure how long water had been there). We found a table without water as presumed in use. Anyhow, then 20 minutes later after a few other confused guests came in and wondered around like we did a waiter came over. I asked if there was a menu and he said no. I asked what are we having and he said soup. I asked what soup and he said corn soup. I was a-bit confused and waited. Anyhow he then brought out some awful watery/creamy soup, I tried this and left it. He then brought a side salad, which was nice fresh salad. And the some chicken, potato and rice. The chicken was so dry and tasteless we left it all and just ate the rice. I was shocked that we were not given any options, or offered drinks and not even asked if we were vegetarian or had any allergies. Anyhow. Just sleep here and leave!! Oh also, so you know if you want to use the pool it’s an additional €5 per person for a mandatory swimming cap. I hope this review is helpful
