Nice hotel in a convenient location. The breakfast was good as there was a lot of variety. The room was a bit basic, but it was clean and serviced daily.

Convenient location but also very noisy. Inside the hotel you could hear next door very easily. The bed was very hard. The room needed maintenance, wires out of walls for example. Breakfast was chaotic. They seem to make a habit of making guests change rooms after check in. The pressure to tip is everywhere...boxes, envelopes. Not a very relaxing stay

Location excellent. Hotel manager..useless. Politely asked day1 and in between for fixes. .. Nothing fixed till day 5(departure day) Definitely different service / attention to different races.. Sad but reality even though money is the same...? Hotel workers are all polite and do they best they can with what they have.

The hotel is ideally located, a five-minute walk from Hagia Sophia. The breakfasts are excellent, you can't leave hungry. The entire hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks to Erhan, he created a wonderful atmosphere at breakfast. The restaurant on the top is a must-see, the dinner with a view of the Bosphorus was very impressive: both the food and dessert were delicious, and the waiters were very sincere people.

It was in a great location, with tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Basilica Cistern nearby! The station was also within walking distance, so it was easy to get around ☺️ The staff were kind, and the on-site spa was great ♡ Breakfast was also delicious 🤤

The hotel is good for the money. Not big, compact rooms, warm (we were there in January), good cleaning of the room, towels, hair dryer, shampoo, gel, dental kit available. Good bed linen and towels, comfortable mattress. Breakfast was included in the price - very decent. The hotel has a spa, but for an extra charge. Previously, we were in Turkey and the hamam and saunas are available for free, here everything is for a fee and with a time limit. There is a restaurant on the roof, which is visited by both residents and people brought in from the street. From 8 pm to 11 pm live music (Saturday), and on Friday the music played around until 3 am. We lived on the 4th floor (on the 5th restaurant) and the movement to the restaurant and back by elevator and conversations, plus the music - are very audible. The audibility in the hotel is good in general too. If you are ready for this, then feel free to choose. All the sights are close - within walking distance, we walked to the Grand Bazaar in 30 minutes, to the Galati Tower about the same. Transport: two metro stations, tram and buses nearby.

Highly recommended!” The hotel impresses across the board. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, which makes the stay particularly pleasant. The rooms and public areas are very clean, which gave us a good feeling. The central location is a big plus - the metro is just a few minutes' walk away. Perfect for a city trip! We'd love to come back.

The +: Location is close to everything It's clean Fair price THE -: really too much noise at night, every evening until 2am There was a party with very loud music (Bar or disco) it is poorly insulated, you can hear everything from outside and between the rooms. Really unfortunate this noise that's why I note 3 on the location, not from a geographical point of view but in relation to the music until 2am ....

The Byzantium hotel has a great central location - in Sultanahmet historical area, so it is easy to reach many main monuments on foot. You can also easily reach public transportation to go discover further parts of beautiful Istanbul. Hotel itself is very clean, breakfasts are delicious and various enough and the staff will make you feel like at home. Very welcoming vibes. Special thanks to guest relations manager - Ms. Warishah - for Always making sure we have everything we need. There Is also a restaurant with rooftop terrace that has a beautiful view (for lunch/dinner/drinks). Our room was fairly small, but did the job. Very clean though. Windows were located to the street side and it gets noisy until late night hours = sleeping with open window can be difficult - bring earplugs.

We recently stayed in this hotel, apparently there is an online 'ding dong' about whether this hotel is a 3 or 4 star. In my personal opinion, I'd say it was a 3 star. This hotel was recommended to us and booked for us through Trailfinders. When we arrived, we were not overly excited to say the least. It's clean and the staff who work there are absolutely lovely, I can't fault that at all, but it lacks ambience and the room was very basic. The duvet only just covered the bed surface, so my husband and I fought for the covers during the night. Not the most relaxing, but we soon got used to it. I would advise to definitely compare hotels if you are looking to be located in the old town (very advisable). There are many to choose from and to be honest, I'm not sure why Trailfinders put us here. Anyway, our guy at breakfast called Erhan made it all worth while as he was very nice and you couldn't help but feel happy in his company. Very nice guy - polite and friendly...always with smile. So it really took the edge off all the negatives. I personally wouldn't stay here again, but I would pop in to say hello to Erhan. Bless him!!!
