Germir Palas Hotel - Special Class

This retro room has everything you need. It's a great value-for-money hotel for a layover. The service was very friendly; the staff even brought down some items I left in the room, which was very kind. I recommend this hotel, it's very close to Istiklal Street, Taksim Square, and the airport shuttle!

I stayed here for two nights with my mom in Istanbul. We chose a hotel near Taksim Square, and the location was super convenient, right by Istiklal Avenue. It's just a 200-meter walk to catch the airport shuttle, which goes to both Istanbul airports. **Service:** We arrived before 10 AM on the first day, and they still managed to check us in. However, when I asked for a breakfast box for an early flight the next day, they said they couldn't provide one. The breakfast had a good selection of fruits, but the taste was just okay. **Cleanliness:** Decent. **Facilities:** The hotel is quite old. You can hear sounds from the next room through the bathroom. (I stayed in late July and paid around 720 per night, which I felt wasn't really worth it.)

I chose this hotel primarily for its convenient access to Taksim Square. It has an excellent location, approximately 100 meters from both the Taksim bus stop (for airport buses) and the Taksim metro station. As a solo female traveler arriving late at night (around 10 PM), I thought a location near a bustling area would be best, and it turned out to be just as I expected. Even after 10 PM, it was well-lit with plenty of people around, which made me feel safe. The room was spacious, and the bathroom facilities were clean. All the staff members were very friendly and even helped me with luggage storage when I arrived early in the morning. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation near Taksim Square.

The hotel is conveniently located - close to the subway, Taksim Square, and the shuttle stop for both airports. The rooms are clean.

Great hotel with a lovely retro vibe. The only downside was that the air conditioning in the room wasn't quite cool enough, but everything else was fine. It's super convenient as you step right out into a shopping area. Highly recommend checking it out!
