I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations and did not match the information provided at the time of booking. When I arrived, I was surprised to be offered a room with only one bed, even though my booking clearly included an option between a single-bed and a twin-bed room. I was told the hotel was fully booked and that the room could possibly be changed the next day — but that was not even the worst part. The room itself was extremely small; it was barely possible to move around the bed without turning sideways. Contrary to the booking details, there was no balcony, only a window. Regarding the breakfast area, the glass windows were dirty and covered with bird droppings, which made it quite unpleasant to sit and eat while facing such a view. However, the most shocking issue was the bathroom, which was made entirely of glass, with partially transparent sections — offering no privacy at all. This was extremely uncomfortable, especially since I was sharing the room with a colleague with whom I am not that close. In addition, the toilet seat was loose, the shower cabin was extremely small, and there were no paper tissues provided in the bathroom. The situation was so unacceptable that we decided to leave the hotel after just one night, even though we had booked and paid for three. Ironically, we paid the same rate at another hotel and received far better service,view,cleanliness, and room space. Given these circumstances, I believe it is only fair to request a refund for the unused nights, as the service and conditions provided were far below the expected and advertised standards. I hope you will handle this matter seriously and respond promptly.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were big and spacious. The communication with the staff via WhatsApp is 100%. Always on hand. Murad and his team were great, very helpful. The cleaners were wonderful and always did a superb job. The buffet breakfast is nice , however I will say as a future recommendation for the hotel is that they add more air conditioning units, we just came back and it's very hot up there as it is in on the 4th floor. Staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Always on hand to offer beverages while you wait. The hotel is ideal for those wanting to see famous landmarks. You are literally in the centre of anything. (Blue mosque, Hagia Sophia , Grand bazzar The last photo of the mosque is the view from the top floor whilst you have breakfast) Bu otelde harika bir konaklama geçirdik. Odalar geniş ve ferahtı. We had a very happy holiday together with my friend. The spa offered free face masks, the room was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. If we come to Istanbul again, we will definitely consider staying at the same hotel. (Recommended)

A Wonderful Experience During My Cultural Trip to Istanbul! During my cultural trip to Istanbul, I chose to stay at Great Fortune Hotel, and I’m so glad I did. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to everything — restaurants, museums, public transportation, and more. This made exploring the city so much easier and more enjoyable. I spent a lot of time at the hotel’s spa and pool area, which was a great way to relax after a day full of sightseeing. It really added to the overall enjoyment of my trip. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. I would highly recommend Great Fortune Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul!

I chose Great Fortune Hotel for my trip to Istanbul, and it was a great decision. The hotel is centrally located and very close to everything—restaurants, museums, and other attractions. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate. My friend and I went on a short trip. We were truly impressed by the hotel’s modern design and panoramic views. Having breakfast included and free access to the spa was amazing. It has nothing to do with the photos on the website, nothing like 4 stars. They gave us a room on the ground floor, in front of the elevator. We were cold the first night and had to call reception three times to check the hot air. We asked for a change and it was not possible. The facilities were quite bad. The breakfast was very poor. The area is very central, but it is better to look for another hotel. The photo is of the closed door! Run your finger through the door!

The elevator doesn't work well, it's easier to take the stairs. Breakfasts are poor, they don't even fry eggs, there are often no free seats. The hotel looks nice inside, but it's all just an appearance.

Service was generally ok. Very nice people at the desk, but had asked last day to apply alarm service at a specific time but unfortunately was not done, and because of this we were too late for our bus to the airport. This cost me an extra 70 euros to be back at the airport on time.

At the lobby they were very friendly and hospitable, my biggest annoyance was the breakfast and the location of the breakfast, roller blinds that were constantly fluttering due to the wind and so you get the sun in and get very warm, staff not friendly, comes no smile or welcome, do not look fit, and the breakfast and hygiene were not optimal, we often have to wait for our cutlery and plates until it has been washed before you can start your breakfast and the cutlery and plates always get soaking wet so get your paper napkins to dry it yourself. We arrived at the hotel before check-in, they picked up our suitcases and we went sightseeing. When we returned they took us to some rooms in a basement, without windows. As you went down the elevator you got a terrible smell of humidity and pipes. One of the rooms had a half-made bed, both furniture was old and broken. Indescribable smell. We went back to the reception and showed him the reservation through trip which showed the reservation for two standard rooms with city views. The receptionist told us that our reservation was for two cheap rooms without windows (I didn't know that in a 4-star hotel they could put you in a room without a window), but he quickly offered a better room for 15 euros more per night per room (60 euros total). I called trip customer service. I was assisted by Alejandra who calmed me down and got in touch with them. (Thank you very much Alejandra). The problem apparently arose due to an intermediary that Trip works with. While I was trying to solve the problem over the phone, the rest of my companions were insisting on selling cruises, dinners, and airport transfers (we seemed like the protagonists of a bad joke). They showed us the other rooms, which were in a different hotel. Getting to the other hotel was another adventure. A bellboy (a charming young boy, the only redeeming feature of the hotel) guided us through streets full of construction. We agreed to stay in the rooms they offered us, we advanced the payment of 60 and trip promised a refund (in two days we had the refund in our account). The breakfast at the great fortune design, where we ended up sleeping, was non-existent, since the coffee machines didn't even work and the solution they gave us was some sachets of soluble coffee, when we filled the cup with hot water it also filled with particles black, there we decided that we would have breakfast outside. I'm not going to mention the rest of the breakfast. We had breakfast outside, with the expenses that entails.
