The Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus stands out primarily for its excellent location, which is undoubtedly one of the hotel's biggest assets. However, the hotel—and particularly the room furnishings—is now clearly showing its age. In my opinion, a comprehensive modernization is urgently needed to meet today's expectations for a hotel in this category. Overall, the stay was okay, and the value for money was still acceptable. Nevertheless, the hotel should urgently invest in its amenities and a contemporary renovation to remain attractive in the long run.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, right next to Galataport. The promenade is nearby, and there's a street with many restaurants close by too. The hotel itself is very spacious, clean, and cozy. The spa area with pools was surprisingly large, and we had a wonderful time there. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices for every taste, all with a beautiful sea view! I especially want to give another shout-out to the attentive and helpful staff at the reception – they resolved all our questions and were very supportive.

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Couldn't ask for more. The Bosphorus is on your doorstep for morning and evening walks. Lots of restaurants and shops. Galata tower within walking distance. A bit steep but not far. The streets behind hotel are buzzy and full of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Very lively. The ferry port and tram stations are also nearby. Super location. Staff very friendly, but a lot of them don't speak English well. I'd stay rooms is pretty small and very musty from lack of ventilation in the room. And the shower has an opaque door into the bedroom which I didn't like. But overall a lovely hotel. Rooftop is super with great views.

A very pleasant hotel. Excellent location, beautiful interior, fresh rooms, and modern finishes. Breakfast with a view of the Bosphorus is absolutely top-notch! I liked the variety of dishes at breakfast, and some items are prepared fresh for you (omelets, fried eggs, porridge for children). We also enjoyed the spa. It has a good pool, very warm air, making it a pleasant place to be. In the changing rooms, there's a hammam and a Finnish sauna. Our room faced the inner courtyard – it was quiet, and in the distance, we could hear music. I assume, based on other reviews, that if you get a room facing the street, it might be very noisy. The best part is that you step out of the hotel, cross a small street, and go through a shopping center building to reach a very beautiful and modern promenade. There are many cafes and restaurants around the hotel to suit every taste.

I went with a lot of expectations but was very disappointed. I stayed for a good 4 nights with my friends in Superior Queen room and did not manage to get a good nights sleep for even a single night. The pillows were terrible and I requested new pillows on the second day, it was the same. The pillows belong to a 2 star hotel and I ended up getting up so tired. Second issue which i found most appalling was that the hotel ONLY PROVIDES 2 VERY SMALL BOTTLES OF WATER PER DAY for a room that we paid for in hundreds of dollars per night!!!!!! I had the choice and the power to pay for any hotel in Istanbul but chose Novotel for their location - but had I known this was how they treat their clients - THEN I WOULD NEVER EVER CHOOSE A NOVOTEL HOTEL EVER AGAIN - ESPECIALLY IN ISTANBUL And lastly the hotel has a restaurant called Murver restaurant on the top floor where we all friends had dinner one night. Turned out to be the most OVER-RATED and worst meal of the trip and the most expensive !!!. DO NOT BELIEVE THE MICHELIN advert and DO NOT BELIEVE THE GOOGLE reviews like we did. IT IS NOT WORTH IT AT ALL for the taste and for the money you will regret spending. IT IS WAY WAY TOOO OVERPRICED FOR THE QUALITY we received. Nevertheless we all 7 friends had a great time in Istanbul and we all plan to bring our families back the next year - BUT WE ALL AGREED THAT IT WOULD NEVER AGAIN BE THE NOVOTEL BOSPHORUS EVER AGAIN

The location is excellent, breakfast excellent, with a great variety of food, the view to the Bosphoros so gorgeous, the only downside is that thw rooms need upgrade, better and more comfortable beds and pillows. Rooms are dated!

Everything were good but unfortunately the hotel has changed it is policy of providing free parking and they made me pay 5000 tl for 5 days in a place where u cant find a parking. Also, i asked them to remove the mini bar from my room but they asked 10 euros to do that which is ridiculous. It seems the hotel is looking to get money for everything.

The hotel is beautiful – the location, cleanliness, and service are all excellent, even though they don't speak Arabic. I highly recommend it, especially for its great location and everything else it offers. I didn't try the breakfast or dinner, as I ate all my meals outside.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to Karakoy Pier and the Tophane tram station, making it easy to get to most attractions. Coming from the airport, you can take bus line 11 and then a short taxi ride for the minimum fare. However, the soundproofing is poor, and there's a bar street downstairs, so those sensitive to noise should think twice. The bed is too soft; if you have back issues, you might want to bring a portable firm mattress. The refrigerator light stayed on all night. The service was excellent; since it was off-season, they even allowed me to check in early at 9 AM.

This is no Novotel My stay at Novotel Istanbul Bosphorus was quite disappointing overall, especially considering the reputation and expected standard of the hotel. First of all, the rooms are very inconsistent. Some rooms have terrible or completely underwhelming views, which makes the stay feel less enjoyable, especially when you are visiting a city like Istanbul where you expect a Bosphorus experience. It feels like room allocation is random, and unless you specifically push for a better option, you may end up with a disappointing view. In many cases, guests are either asking for a refund, requesting a room change, or trying to get an upgrade as a last option just to make the stay acceptable. The process feels slow and not well organized. Breakfast was another weak point. The variety is very limited, and the quality does not match expectations for a hotel of this category. It feels basic and repetitive, and definitely not something you would expect from a hotel near the Bosphorus aiming for a premium experience. Parking is another downside. It is not free, 20 dollars which adds unnecessary extra cost to the stay. For a hotel in this range, guests usually expect at least more convenience or better value in this area. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a 3-star experience at best, mainly because of the location near the Bosphorus. The location is the only real strong point, but everything else—from service to breakfast to room experience—does not fully match the price or expectations.
