My stay at this hotel was, unfortunately, among the worst travel experiences I have ever had. I strongly advise anyone considering this place to read carefully before booking. From the moment I entered the room, the hygiene issues were impossible to ignore. I found several small cockroaches, cockroach eggs, and even stains from dead insects on the ceiling and walls. The bedsheets and mattress had visible blood stains, and the pillows were dirty and brown. The chairs in the room were basically hollow—just cloth stretched over an empty frame. Even the inside door lock didn’t work, leaving me unable to secure the room properly. The room itself was extremely small compared to the photos online. The basement room window would only open a finger’s width, making the space feel even more suffocating. When I raised concerns about the room size and the shocking level of uncleanliness, the dismissive response was, “It’s an economy room, what do you expect?” as if a lower price should mean accepting filth and health hazards. Basic facilities were either missing or unusable. There was no kettle or iron in the room, and when I requested a kettle, they gave me a dirty, rusty one. The TV had no remote, no cable, and no channels. The room safe couldn’t be used because no code was provided. Even the reception area was disorganized and dirty. Service issues were equally frustrating. On December 7th, my room card stopped working and I was locked out with all my belongings inside. Then, starting on the evening of December 8th, the water in both the toilet and shower completely stopped working. Despite reporting it, the only response I received was that “service will come tomorrow.” The issue wasn’t fixed overnight and continued well into the next day, lasting until the afternoon, meaning I spent many hours without basic water access. On top of this, the pricing was unreliable and misleading. When I extended my stay, one staff member quoted me a certain price, but three days later I was suddenly told the price had doubled. When I questioned this huge increase, the response I received was essentially, “It’s not our problem,” with no explanation or accountability. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable for any establishment. Communication and management were also major problems. The night receptionist only spoke Russian, making it very difficult to resolve issues. To make matters worse, the reception is not even located in the same building as the listed hotel address, causing unnecessary confusion. Staff members constantly gave conflicting information, making it impossible to rely on anything they said. Their overall attitude came across as disorganized, impatient, unhygienic, and unprofessional. Overall, this hotel failed in cleanliness, honesty, service, and basic hospitality. I cannot recommend it under any circumstances.

I had booked a room at the Lola Hotel in Istanbul for 3 nights for myself, wife and one year old son from the 24th of October to the 27th of October. This was our first family holiday and we wanted to celebrate our son’s first birthday. However I was very disappointed with the service I received. I will not be using it again. I will not recommend it to my friends and family. Once I entered the room, I realised the photos on the website and the room didn’t match at all. I booked Standard triple room and what I received two bed loft with an extra single bed had been squeezed in. Also, the address of the actual hotel and the room I got offered were two different places. I didn’t quite understand this. They had sockets just above the bed so my son would put his fingers inside the holes. This is dangerous and completely unsafe. It was not a peaceful stay as we had to keep an eye on our son all the time. The bed frame and lamp were dusty. The pillows, duvets and towels were worn out. They kept saying they will change the pillows but they didn’t. The towels were smelling of chlorine which gave us a headache. We couldn’t open the window as our son would go near the window which is not safe. We couldn’t sleep throughout the nights. They had mentioned the room was 24 metres squared. However, this wasn’t the case. I wasn’t satisfied with this room at all. And it wasn’t a proper room. It was a loft which had a roof that was very low. I wasn’t in a position to change hotels as it was difficult to move the baggages whilst having to carry the baby in the pushchair. In short, these three days stay ruined our entire holiday. I would appreciate if you could review my case

Travelled in May with my best friend. Very good location, close to blue mosque, 15-20min walk to tram stop and lots of restaurants around. Not sure if this hotel is merged with another called Lila because we initially struggled to find the reception. We got a basement room and I’m not complaining because it was low priced but the towels had stains on them, the room is in need of refurbishing. We asked for new towels but first night they never came with any, did not reply to my email request. Second night when I asked again, they said new towels did not arrive from laundry. We ended up using our own towels. It showed the hotel has 3 stars and the room did not look like that in the pictures at all. Would recommend people booking to consider other options.
