Grand Kavi Hotel

I found the hotel very good value. A great location for getting around and seeing the main attractions. Everything close by. Ismail and the staff were very helpful and made my trip more pleasant. I found they were happy to help out if they could. The breakfast again was very good value. I feel I got a good deal. I would use the hotel again.

Cancelled flight, informed the hotel. Noted that we probably couldn’t come at all. But, luckily we managed to rebook for the next day! We and *********** informed the hotel that we could spend 4 nights out of originally 5! By surprise, upon arrival in Istanbul we got - no show, full cancellation! So, we were there after a cancelled flight, notified we were coming, with a FULLY paid room and they didn’t let us in! They just kept our money! Client unfriendly at the max…….!!

The hotel is so nice. It’s nearby the Beyazit tram station (Grand Bazaar), and only 3 minutes walking away. The room where I and my wife stayed in is large and clean. The receptionist Mehmet is very helpful and friendly. I recommend it for sure 💯

Do NOT stay at this hotel! We had booked a 4 night stay through ******* over a year ago. Arrived on Thursday 8th June at 7.30pm to be told by front desk that our booking was cancelled that morning- ‘as ******* have not paid us’. Basically told us there was nothing they could do and all rooms were now taken. After a very long & expensive international mobile phone call to *******, we thankfully managed to get 4 nights at another local hotel. ******* made it clear that this situation was the Grand Kavi hotel’s doing and they had access to the booking funds via the normal interchange system they use to do so. They deliberately made errors in this process and then using this as an excuse, cancelled our booking (while we were in flight) and immediately resold our room booking for a much higher rate. What a surprise it was Uefa Champions League final weekend in Istanbul! Money to be made- was pure profiteering and cynical manipulation. The usual tricks of I don’t speak English and false sympathy were also evident. They just wanted us to disappear.

Dear Friends, We spent with my family a stay during the month of August at the Grand Kavi hotel in Istanbul. I would like to especially thank Ismail, Azziz, Hussein and of course the big Boss. The welcome was excellent and the staff was very pleasant. we felt surrounded by a real family. Thank you Ismail for the gift that you gave me on the last day. you will certainly have to recognize me. Look forward to our next meeting. all the best. M.B.

It was a terrible place to stay with my friends , after i book with them more expensive than the website because i thought it will be more in details if i recommended anything from them but it was the worst decision ever. First, i booked for a single room which was number 101 like a jail indeed no windows no tv works poor internet signal and bugs in the toilet, when i asked to change it it was awful they refused impolitely. There was two guys Hussain and Aziz and one young guy i don’t know his name their were the worst receptionists ever with countless of lies like ( we are fully booked , tomorrow we will change your room or even putting a clean towels) the electric was cutting frequently, breakfast was cheese eggs and hotdogs with two kind of fruits only. Asking something from those people always coming with paying extra money always like a taxi which is costing 400 TL but they asked 600 TL !!! Everything you need to pay cash not credit card to take the benefits of it. Just be careful and don’t waste your money there and for the information no taxi or car can enter this place so you need to walk further to catch a taxi from the street. If there is below a one star definitely i will choose it. Bad experience with unprofessional service.
