Tom Square Boutique Hotel

Fatih
The good. *opening windows *water is hot but with limited pressure  *free drinking water on request *fridge that works, very old but keeps drinks cool *nice decent coffee mugs and kettle *back rooms quiet from street noise *linen not changed daily, towels were, room tidied each day, for cheap hotel was good service *bathroom clean but small light not working The bad. *the bed in Snapper room is extremely uncomfortable, not sure of other rooms, but you can feel the springs when laying on it. Probably most uncomfortable bed ever spent night on. If you have back problems avoid, easy fix is to purchase a proper bed topper. *some rooms extremely small, beware and read carefully which room you are in. *back rooms exposed to hotel straight opposite, need to sit in dark with blinds closed for privacy, put in sheer curtain! *step up to half bath/shower half a metre, not easy to get in and out safely. *noise travels straight thru between floors, could hear above snoring and every word spoken, take ear plugs!! *linen and towels have been used for years, thin and worn. All need replacing.  *ripped sheet on bed, housekeeping did not notice, we did, pointed out and promptly changed, big tick for management *there is a very bad sewer smell walking up stairs and in bathrooms. Understand its an old run down area but its not pleasant nor nice. All in all, not impressed at all and would in future will pay a little extra, move closer to centre and up hill, but if you have a low budget and happy for all its problems, its ok, just.
Sirkeci Family Hotel & Spa

Sirkeci
Just to share our experience - we were more families, with kids (some pretty small). We reserved on booking with free cancellation, but the money were withdraw well in advance to our trip. Not the initial conditions, but we were decided to go. The day of our reservation, we called and the reception told us there were no rooms for us available. They seemed to have a technical problem with the water.... After long talks on the phone they redirected us to another hotel, more distant to the main street and with other room configuration. E.g we paid for a 4 persons room and we got 3 persons rooms + a place in a different room. So, our suggestion is to pay attention, both to money taken in advance and to where you will end up sleeping.
Levanten Hostel

Levanten Hostel Cihangir is in a very close location to the Taksim Square in İstanbul. ... Taksim Square walks 3 minutes, Kabataş coast 3 minutes, if you want to walk again Beşiktaş coast and market 22 minutes You can also reach ... The kitchen with common use areas, is also inside the Levanten Hostel, and there are bares and seats in the coral colour, a very hot and house-decorated lobby, The toilets and shower areas are continuously cleaning. There are rooms with bathrooms, I would like to take and load photos from the bathroom, but because there are sleepers and because I think it wouldn't be nice to share their photos without permission of people, it's just empty for you for now. I shared photos from sections .....The kitchen is quite clean and hygienic, everyone who is open to use and hosts washing their dishes by washing their own dishes inside and in respect of a community lifestyle. Rooms are very clean, laundry and kitchen boxes not as well as other hostels say holes .... Workers are laughing and helpful people ...
Lika Hotel

The Lika Hotel is located in a convenient location in the historic center, namely in the Sultanahmet area. I booked this hotel with my wife and child (10 months) for holidays - from April 30 to May 4. The settlement was quickly passed. Hotel staff is responsive and ready to answer any questions. I put this hotel low rating as I believe guests should accommodate in a clean room with clean bed linen. Unfortunately, we found that on the bed linen of whose hair, the floor in the room is dirty, and the sink in the bathroom if and washed, it was bad, because there were hair on it too. Our request for replacing bed linen was immediately accepted by the hotel staff. Another problem with this hotel is that the first floor room is very well heard what is happening at the reception desk. And this review forced me to write just that. Just 15 minutes ago, at the registration bar, a woman was very loud, which caused my child to wake up (now 23:10) and began to cry. To my comment, this woman did not react and kept shouting. In general, I have the conclusion about this hotel: 1. We need to control the purity of the rooms. 2. We need to solve the problem with sound insulation in the first floor room. Unfortunately, these 2 problems prevent me from putting the Lika hotel rating above.
Almina Inn Hotel

Reasonable budget hotel 15 min walk from blue mosque. Staff were fantastic special mention to Siyed and Kayram who were really helpful and spoke good English. Istanbul is not flat so the walk to blue mosque is across very steep roads and having to watch the traffic flying past at the Same time. Hotel was clean and breakfast was good. My only criticism would be the safes in the rooms are not fixed down and can be lifted out the room. We had 2 rooms and it was the same in both rooms. Also the towels although cleaned did have staining but it looks like the linen cleaning is outsourced and not done by the hotel. Other than that I would use again as it was good value and we only ever used the rooms to sleep in as we were out sight seeing every day and only returned late at night.

Sultan Ahmed Mosque
We stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The location of the hotel is very good! The museums are within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar, tram and other touristic areas. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Staff are also very helpful and friendly. We will definitely prefer the fos hermanos family on our next visit. See you again 👋
