On November 30, we went to Grand Haliç Hotel (Şişhane Istanbul) and got a room. They said let's give a sea view room for the price of a land view room. Room 504 was prepared and we waited for it. Around afternoon. We entered the room, settled down and decided to get some sleep. A repair has begun. We said it would be over, but it never ended. We called the reception and told them that they were changing the bathtub. They literally hollowed out our minds. They offered to change the room, but since there is such a repair, one should give a warning and not give that room. I wasted my money.
Marble Hotel

Hotel located 12 min walk from Taksim square, 2 min walk from the famous Istiklal Caddesi street (excellent for evening outings), to go to Sultanahmet it is approximately 18 min by taxi or 30 min of which 10 min for the Findikli stop and 3 stops with T1 for the historic center. Mainly Turkish breakfast, there isn't much to eat for Italians. We also tried the SPA, but we don't recommend it: excessive value for money for Italian standards Overall clean rooms and friendly staff! Experience to repeat!

For our inaugural family excursion with our 1.5-year-old daughter, we elected to stay at the Piya Hotel. Our criteria included a hotel equipped with a pool, an extensive breakfast selection, and a prime location. In assessing the hotel's attributes, we delineate the following pros and cons: Pros: Prime location with convenient proximity to key attractions, all within walking distance. The hotel, though situated in an older district of Istanbul, has been tastefully refurbished. Despite being nicely renovated, the thin walls render neighboring activities audible, which proved disruptive during our stay. Notably, the hotel's prime location was also its primary drawback, as the noise from neighboring rooms impacted our overall experience negatively. The hotel boasts a pool, a feature that enhances its appeal, particularly during warmer seasons. Regrettably, pool access is restricted from 12:00 to 19:00, with additional fees applicable thereafter. Given our daytime exploration of the city, accessing the pool became impractical, and the limited operating hours were incongruent with guest expectations. We suggest extending the pool hours from 08:00 to at least 21:00 to better accommodate guest schedules. The breakfast spread impresses with its diverse offerings, catering to varied preferences. Noteworthy is the exceptional friendliness and attentiveness of the hotel staff, enhancing the overall guest experience significantly. Moreover, we advocate for the inclusion of alcoholic beverages in the hotel bar, considering the preferences of many guests and the restriction on bringing outside food and drinks. In summary, while the room size may be compact, a factor we anticipated due to the hotel's location in the old city center, it is impeccably maintained. Additionally, stringent security measures ensure the exclusivity of hotel facilities, a commendable feature.

Checked in no problem. Room was on the 1000 level. The room was fine. Comfy enough bed, decent shower, a little dark but fine. However, at 0044 I had not long fallen asleep and was awoken by some music. To begin with I could not figure out where the music was coming from, I called reception and found out that there was a function on and the music was coming through the walls. The receptionist told me that he would sort it out. He must of as I managed to fall asleep for 10 minutes. 20 minutes later, the tunes came back on but even louder, again I called down to reception. This time I told him if he cant get the music sorted I wanted a room move. he said he'd call back in 5 mins. By this time (0115) I had enough after been travelling since 0600 and up for work at 0800 I was not wiating any longer. I packed what I had left to pack and went down stairs to get moved. Where I had the most uncomfortable experience with the receptionist. I told the guy I wanted a room change, he said he was sorry he didn't have any. I stared at him rather displeased as you would at that time. I said well, what do you suggest?! The volume was ridiculous. After sending the bellboy down to request a volume change again, he shuffled avoiding eye contact and moving around papers. I think he just thought I was going to shrug my shoulders and go back to my bed. I stared at him for a minute more and raised my voice, asked him what the hell is happening? Its nearly 0130 and am standing here tired as F**K, demanded he better sort something out or I wanted the manager. After some more awkwardness he then produced a key card for a different room. I told him all that nonsence in the last ten mins could easily have been avoided. If he didn't lie to me and say there were no rooms. The room ended up being really quiet, however it was like an oven and I could not get it cool. I was knackered so fell asleep anyway. That mattress will need a few days in the sun to dry out the amount I sweated in it. I went down to breakfast in the morning it looked like an ok spread but I was still not in the mood. The bill was already fixed by my company so I didn't even complain to the staff in the morning. I will be telling my company not to use this place again.

We had a pleasent stay in this hotel for one week. It’s a cozy, modern and clean hotel feels like home.We were 3 persons and they gave us a very big room, the room could be devided by sliding partitions into two spaces and it had two bathrooms. I really can say it was the best room that we could have, it was so big that we had no problem with all of our stuff which was so much. The room was so clean. Cigdem was so kind and she tried her best that the room was always clean and she provided everything we asked for rightaway. The recieptionists were also so helpful, Hakan helped us a lot with a very good manner and he made all the reservations we wanted. At one night we wanted a glass and there was another recieptionis in the lobby which I don’t know his name, and he provided it rightaway although it was not his job. We really want to thank all of them that we had a great stay in this hotel and it sure will be our first choice when visiting Istanbul.
