A cozy hotel by the sea. Nice clean territory. The room furnishings are very simple, nothing more. The prices in the restaurant are quite high, the average price of a main course is USD25-30. When the sausages for breakfast ran out, they made a good discount, that's fair. However here are no other restaurants nearby.

I stayed from May 19th to 22nd. The hotel environment was nice, and the sunset was beautiful, but there were many mosquitoes and bugs in the room. The facilities were very basic, and there was no air conditioning. One thing that made me very angry was the poor attitude of the staff, which seemed discriminatory. I was washing my hair in the room after snorkeling when suddenly the water and power went out. I had a lot of shampoo foam on my head. I was furious and went to the front desk to ask. The front desk only said that the water and electricity needed to be checked and that there would be no water from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, without giving me any solutions. They did not inform us at all when we checked in, and we were completely unaware of it. Later, I went to the restaurant and got three bottles of mineral water, but they were all ice-cold mineral water, so I could only use the ice-cold mineral water to shower. In the evening, a staff member came to ask how many bottles of water I had taken that afternoon to add to my room bill. I thought that was the end of it, but then a Black woman pointed at her head and said I was stupid for not thinking and asking why I couldn't use the pool. She kept laughing and even let me see her eyes, speaking in a commanding tone. I had already explained to her that we were out of water and that I still had shampoo in my hair. She then went on to say my friend's English was very bad and her spoken English was terrible. I ask you, with that heavy accent, even communicating with her in the simplest English sometimes left her confused. Has she ever received any education? She's like a savage, and she smells terrible. Is she a **********? Doesn't she know how dirty the pool water is? I've stayed there for several days and never seen the water changed. Even after rain, the pool was still full of insects and filth. I find it hard not to suspect discrimination. I want to say, I'm a customer, and this waitress dared to talk to me like that! You're just a waitress who hasn't provided any service, yet you dare to talk to a customer like that? I'm here on vacation, okay? It's a 500 AUD hotel night! I bring economic benefits to your country and revenue to your hotel. Don't you know how poor and backward your own country is? I stayed at the hotel from May 19 to May 22. One afternoon after snorkeling, I returned to my room to wash my hair. While I was still washing it and had shampoo foam all over my head, the water and electricity suddenly stopped. I went to the front desk feeling frustrated, and the only thing they told me was that there was maintenance from 1 PM to 6 PM. Nobody had informed us about this before check-in, and no solution or apology was offered. In the end, I had to go to the restaurant and take three bottles of mineral water just to rinse the shampoo out of my hair. The water was ice cold, so I was forced to wash myself using freezing cold bottled water. Later that evening, a female staff member came to ask how many bottles of water I had taken so the hotel could charge them to my room. I thought she was only checking the number of bottles, but then she suddenly pointed at her head and mocked me, saying I was “stupid” and should have “used my brain” to think about washing in the swimming pool instead. She kept laughing at me in a sarcastic and commanding tone. I had already explained clearly that it was the hotel’s fault because there was no running water, and that I still had shampoo in my hair. Despite this, she continued being rude and even mocked my friend’s English speaking ability. Honestly, I was already using the simplest English possible to communicate with her because her accent was so strong that communication itself was difficult at times. Her suggestion about using the swimming pool was also ridiculous and unhygienic. During my entire stay, I never once saw the pool being cleaned or the water being changed. After the rain, there were visible insects, dirt, and what looked like insect eggs floating in the pool. No reasonable guests would want to wash themselves there. As paying guests, we expected basic respect and professional service, but instead we were treated with sarcasm and humiliation. I came here for a holiday and relaxation, not to be insulted by hotel staff. For a hotel charging this price, this experience was completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing.

The room had no air conditioning and was drafty. The sea breeze was very loud and scary at night, especially when it rained. The windy beach didn't make you feel safe. The toilet was terrible, not up to par for a hotel this price. The view was nice, but the hotel's tours were ridiculously overpriced; hiring a driver separately cost only about 1/6 of the hotel's fee. There were tons of insects and ants; you couldn't sleep without mosquito coils.

Bai Cao is said to be the largest and best resort on Thane Island. I really liked the sea view and the resort's thoughtful design. The restaurant had a beautiful view; it would have been even better if the food had been served faster.

The service is disgusting, they charge money for everything, it’s better to book another hotel.

The perfect place to visit the island. Absolutely perfect in every way: the location, the service, the staff, the food, the accommodations! 5 minutes from the airport. The hotel organizes all available activities. Thank you!

Although it is a double room, there is actually another small bed. The bathroom is large and clean, and there are plenty of hot water, towels and toiletries. The environment is very quiet, the room is not damp, and the sheets and quilts are very clean. In addition, the service is also very good. Although I was alone, I was allowed to participate in the volcano tour, and I was asked in advance whether I needed to order food in advance if I returned late. There are few mosquitoes, and there are fruits for breakfast. If I go again, I will definitely stay again.

This is my second stay after seven years. I have never stayed in other hotels on Tanna Island. This is probably the best hotel in terms of the island's economic level. The downsides are also related to the difficulty of supply on the island. The breakfast is very monotonous, with only cereals and bread. There are only two or three dishes to choose from for lunch and dinner. The room does not provide mineral water. There is no supermarket around the hotel. It is recommended to bring some instant noodles and water before coming. The service is not satisfactory. The hotel can find a way to coordinate with the airport because flights in this place are basically not on time. The hotel is only five or six minutes drive from the airport. If it can be coordinated well, it will not waste too much time at the airport due to delays.
