Very good hotel .I wıll come back agaın good room good breakfast

The reception first tried to put us on a room without window, though clearly stated in our booking that room has a window,they were telling pay extra money to get a suit ,after some argument they opened 2 rooms with window,though initially they said rooms were full,,run by people not speaking English well ,also breakfast was terrible and that too kept in very miserly,sometime telling few items finished .the cleaning lady was doing her job well.overall not a a great experience.great location but hotel is not run my modern professional people, who could do justice to tag on websites,anyways wish them better for future.

Everything was perfect

My room was really big and clean, with a comfortable bed that was changed every other day. The hotel is in a great location, just across the road to a mainline train station and tube. It’s a great place to be based, with the sea just a 15 minute walk, and lots of historic sites. I’ve rarely walked as much in a break; including up a nearby mountain (well - big hill I suppose) where there was an old castle on the top. See pics. The staff were great! Other than the catering staff they all spoke English and all of the staff were very friendly. In case you’ve seen me review this hotel twice it’s not dodgy; I just can’t find my original review. The breakfast was served on the top floor and the area is surrounded by huge windows giving an amazing view. There’s a large area outside so you can have a cigarette break up there enjoying the views. The jewel of this hotel was the spa. They have a plunge pool, showers, sauna and a great massage team. I was treated by a beautiful blue eyed lady, who, after one of my really long walks, managed to get all of the knots out of my tired muscles. I’ll be in Izmir again in June and will definitely spend some time in there again. I need to address some criticisms I’ve seen in the reviews. I honestly wonder if they were writing by competing hotels.. My room was perfectly clean. It was spacious. The bathroom was perfect. Everything worked. I really don’t know how anyone would criticise the staff or the room. If there’s one downside it was being so close to the speakers for the nearby mosque. The call to prayer was very very loud and woke me every single morning. Other than that the noise was ok, even though it was in a main road and across from the station.

Over all it is accepted for such a value of money, the reception guys are very helpful and kind, the location is great. The chaquizy tube is not working Two things that I didnt like in this hotele are 1- its very noisy, because its in the heart of the city center 2- The staff of the breakfast restueant are not freindly and not helpful at all. So tue hotel admenistration has to talk to them to be more cooperative with guists.

i was for 2 days at grand corner. the location is very good. just in frint if Basmane station where you can take metro or train. and it is about 15 mn to reach the port. the room is quite big. and even it is on the main road but not noisy. the guys at the reception: Ramiz and Sadullah were very gentle and kind and helpfull. but Mezhut had a bad behavior with us. we asked him why they didnt clean the room, he said you didnt ask. we asked for some help he was very bad with us even he was speaking our same language. besides that, the breakfast was served in a close restaurant because they were doing reforms in their own restaurant. so it was very poor and not well served. besides that, it could be a good choice the hotel.
