My husband and I stayed for three nights at this charming bed and breakfast. It is well situated for enjoying the various wineries, restaurants, shopping, and historic sites of the Charlottesville area. The room was immaculate and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. The property is beautiful and provides many spaces to relax and enjoy the views. The snacks and drinks in the guest kitchen area were much appreciated. Our hosts were warm and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Charlottesville.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights for an open water swim competition. We wanted to be closer to the event than Charlottesville accommodations and this was a great choice. The inn was immaculate and the room was large and very comfortable! We were able to use a small backyard patio for our morning coffee and evening wine. It was very peaceful looking into the lovely backyard. Lisa, the owner, accommodated our first early morning before the race by giving us to- go breakfasts, which was much appreciated. The second day we did a lovely hike at Ivy Creek Park nearby followed by a delicious homemade blueberry pancake breakfast. We loved the common room coffee maker, complimentary snacks, beverages, and water. We would definitely stay here again.

A splendid place to stay; we would go out to see a presidents house, or some caves or a trail then later in the afternoon go back to Foxfields have some coffee in the garden (back yard?) then the short drive to Duners resturaunt for evening meal.

We stayed for our 34th anniversary 2 days ago and found Lisa and her mother lovely, accommodating, and pleasant. Lisa had come from Colorado and had only been the owner about 2 months but one would never know that. It was perfect! They even allowed our Colorado daughter ( who was attending her 25th u of va reunion) to have brunch with us the morning we left. Hot tub, jacuzzi, beautiful room, friendly and helpful owner…. What was there not to like? Ty, Lisa! We shall be back!

Congratulations to Lisa, the new owner of this BEAUTIFUL bed and breakfast. She greeted us and gave us a tour of the lovely property. We stayed in the rose room and loved the Jacuzzi tub. Bed was comfortable and the towels were so soft. Upon arrival, I was concerned with hearing noise from the other rooms because it is a house like structure, but we didn’t hear anything from the other guests. Lisa was kind and attentive, even making us a to go breakfast because we had to leave early for UVA graduation. Thank you again, for a cozy place to stay on our last visit to C-ville!

Everything was absolutely perfect. The owner takes alot of pride in her property. I wish I would have found it much earlier in my excursions to Charlottesville. I hope to return back sometime soon.

We and our friends had not returned to Charlottesville together (from NJ and TN) in 18 years! When we were contemplating where we would stay, I reminded our friends how they had raved about the Foxfield Inn when attending our reunion in 2007. We wanted to try it out and our friends wanted to take a trip down memory lane. What a fantastic decision! From the comprehensive tour Brigitte offered upon our arrival, to the pristine, spacious and comfortable rooms, to the beautiful wooded property, the incredible breakfasts and generous snack area with fridge, coffee and tea......she has thought of everything. This is not a sterile, typical, cookie cutter accommodation. The four of us have traveled domestically and internationally for work and pleasure and Foxfield felt like home....except we didn't have to do any of the work involved when having houseguests. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!!! Touches that I will not forget: 1) We especially enjoyed sitting on the patio with special wines we had brought with us for a happy hour each night, before leaving for dinner. 2) A charger available for our car! Tesla and non-Tesla chargers are on site! 3) Such amazing thoughtfulness in dealing with my celiac disease dietary restrictions. Not only did every breakfast include substitutions that were lovely and delicious, but Brigitte had baked gluten-free cookies that she left in our room, as at the snack area, there were cookies I could not enjoy. (They were among the most delicious cookies I have ever eaten, by the way). This hospitality was just so touching, when I am accustomed to 'doing without' wherever we go. Thank you, Brigitte! 4) The website is one of the best I have seen for lodging. It is very thorough and allowed us to ask Brigitte the right questions about where we wanted to take 'nature walks'. We recommend the very convenient Ivy Creek area! It is historical and peaceful and 10 minutes away. 5) We did not use the fire pit or hot tub, but how amazing to have them at our disposal. 6) The large bathtub with jets. A wonderful touch and so rare. 7) Brigitte sharing the GF cookie recipe!
