"Our room was on a high floor with views of both the lake and the ocean. There were so many family-friendly activities, like the panda dance, magic shows, and lacquer fan making in the lobby. The breakfast spread was extensive with a wide variety of options. The infinity pool was perfect for photos. My child absolutely loved the water park downstairs; it was genuinely great for kids aged 3 and up, and there was even crab catching! The beach was just across the road, with hotel sun loungers and staff, who also provided sand-digging tools and towels. The mini-bar was replenished after we finished items, and bottled water was unlimited. Our butler, Beibei, was incredibly attentive and responsible. She prepared a bed rail and a child's toilet seat for us in advance and checked in daily to see if we needed anything – big thumbs up! On our last night, she even sent up desserts and fruit."

"We had a split stay between the holiday inn and another resort in a different area of Sanya. Unfortunately the holiday inn location is not ideal unless you don’t plan to leave the hotel. The hotel itself was great and lots to do for kids! Very equipped towards children for example so many feeding chairs, children’s cutlery, little extras like smaller slippers in the room. Really good! The food was average, there was a lot of variety but the quality of it wasn’t anything special and could deffo improve. Best part was the WeChat butler service! Mr Wesley was so informative and attentive for everything. Service was entirely in English too, big plus!! He sent a small gift for my daughter on our last night and it was the cherry on top of the cake for how great he had been during our stay."

Overall, the facilities were decent. Cleanliness: The bedding was clean, although I brought my own disposable sheets. However, some chipped paint on the floor made it look a bit grubby. The sofa throw blanket had some stubborn stains that might not come out; it would be perfect if the owner replaced it! Ambiance: Absolutely stunning! The owner helped us arrange an airport pickup and personally checked us in! So thoughtful."
