The hotel is absolutely beautiful - it’s a nineteenth century mansion, elegantly restored in a calm setting with lots of courtyards and flowers. The pool area is also lovely. We visited with our four children and had two adjoining rooms which were very nicely decorated and spacious.
You can walk out of the hotel to a local area which is busy and interesting. We walked to the flower market (20 mins) first thing in the morning and it was amazing to see all the flowers. The hotel offers to accompany the walk for £25 per person, which we thought was a bit excessive. We arranged for a guide to show us around the key sights - we did this through the hotel for approximately £50 for five hours and it was good. There are lots of extras offered on a board in the hotel - the walk, yoga and other activities, but be aware that these are extra costs, as is the welcome drink and rooftop happy hour.
The staff were decent and the restaurant produces wonderful breakfasts, as well as other meals both Indian and western if you want them.
A very enjoyable experience - we recommend highly.

From the moment we arrived we were transported to an oasis of calm. Our room was one of the oldest rooms and was lovely with a raised day bed, dressing area and a lovely bathroom. The ground and swimming pool areas are well tended and my husband loved all the beautiful bar areas and are the perfect place to relax and take in your day. The restaurant and food are the finishing touches to a glorious stay. Our lunches and evening meals under the spectacular Banyan Tree just felt perfect. All the staff were friendly and attentive and we had a long conversation with the F&B manager who couldn’t have been nicer and told us all about the history of the Haveli. All and all we loved it here and can’t wait to come back to see more of the city and to stay here again.

We spent two days in the lush and luxurious atmosphere of Samode Haveli. The nested architecture with various little courts, stairs balconies and beautiful gardens is a perfect juxtaposition to the vivid, noisy and colourful life of the city center. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners at the hotel restaurant terrace and a wonderful suite with a separate dressing and bathroom tract. The staff was very friendly and courteous and always there to help. The only, but unfortunately important negative experience was the inability to trace an envelope with a significant sum of cash back that we had unintentionally had left in the safe of our room as a result of a hectic leave on our last day. You could say it was our fault to manoeuvre us into such a situation, but in a really excellent top hotel, the management would be able to succeed with such a task. The Samode Haveli management did not, why we in the end only can give three stars.

Beautifully restored heritage property offering stylish comfortable accommodation, a tranquil oasis from the surrounding bustling city. The staff were, without exception, excellent. Our beautifully furnished room was the size of an apartment.

Amazing,limited number of rooms. Exquisite architecture and cultural experience. Food is great and service is brilliant. Make sure you get to the rooftop to view sunset over Jaipur and the city views. Pool service is convenient and gardens are immaculate. Al fresco breakfast and dinner is available. Convenient location to the hustle and bustle of the Pink City markets - Babubaja. For the car lovers they have 2 immaculate Morris Minors and a 50s Mercedes!

Samode Haveli is a wonderful paradise in the amazing city of Jaipur. We were welcomed warmly by all staff who were friendly and attentive to our needs. The accommodation is a luxurious mixture of historic and modern. Tipping is not encouraged, allowing you to provide a tip at then end of your stay and so adding to the relaxed atmosphere. We would highly recommend this property.

Authentic Indian experience. Staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive at all times. Highly recommend the morning walking tour and morning prayers at the Temple in the gardens of the City Palace. Food was delicious and a good selection of both local and western cuisine. Enormous room with amazing views over the city. Spent time by the pool which I would recommend.
