The location is stunning!!! Too bad the season is over, so no hotel bar and nothing to do. There is a very big zip line in front of the hotel over the lake, but not in use this time of year…. But the view and surroundings made it worthwhile. We drove straight i to the fruitbasket of Korea!!! Scored some massive peaches along the way!!

great location overlooking lake. view was fantastic, and walking route was well maintained and organized. had dinner in the hotel, food was tasty and sunset from restaurant was lovely. would like to visit again for sure!

I was here on a cultural exchange, and this was such a great hotel. Many close by sights to visit, but you definitely require a car. I had a guide and a driver so could take full advantage of the area. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast buffet is excellent, and the air is fresh. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Booked a room for 3 persons 2 nights but given 2 sets of towels for both. Requested for 1 set only 1st night but claimed no more bath towel, was given face towel. Same things happen on 2nd night. Room was clean. Only buffet breakfast served. Self prepared food/drink if you not intend to eat/drink in hotel. The mountain road heading to the resort was under construction (14-16/Nov/25) make it difficult to drive after sun set. recommend to arrive early if self-drive. Nice walk along the lake next to hotel.

We visited during the off peak season so many facilities were closed. We went to the hotel for the specific reason of visiting the swimming pool but it was closed, and on trip.com it wasn’t clear. Because it’s off season, though, the price is quite reasonable. Location wise you must visit by car, it’s only a 5min drive to the nearby tourist spots which is important because only 1 restaurant was open and not too cheap. The on-site convenient store was great though their selection was quite small.

Very nice view if you choose the lake view room. You can hear the other people talking and listen to what they say on the phone. Luckily, they did not talk til too late.

I visited again with my younger sibling. I am satisfied with Cheongpung Lake Hotel, where I could relax while watching the sunset. I really enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you to the staff for being calm and kind despite being busy. I always take away good memories from Cheongpung Lake Hotel. I want to make time to go again.

I went there for a year-end party without high expectations, but the living room is spacious, the surroundings are quiet, and above all, the view of Lake Chungju is absolutely stunning. The price is also reasonable.

When making reservations, the distinction between the Cheongpung Resort Hotel and Hillside should be made clearer so that guests can avoid mistakes. The Hotel has a better location and newer facilities, whereas the Hillside... well... it just feels like a cheap motel room. The room is large, but the central heating... was so hot I thought I was going to die. I would like to visit the Hotel again next time, but I do not want to go to the Hillside.

I stayed on Friday, so there weren't many people, and it was clean and nice. The facilities are old, but they were clean and tidy, and although the room was a bit small, the bed was comfortable. The lake view was nice and charming, and there was a walking path around the hotel, so it was perfect for a relaxing trip.
