We booked a 3-bedroom villa for 7 of us, and was told only at 6pm on the day we checked in that one of the bedrooms had water piping issues. With such short notice, we were given only 2 options: (1) check into a 2-bedroom villa or (2) cancel our booking.
Naturally, we could pick only option 1. We were initally told that we had to moved into another villa with only 2 bedrooms, but the butler subsequently told us that it was the same villa we booked but only one of the bedrooms was unusable due to water piping issues. When we asked to see the state of the unusable bedroom, the butler told us that (a) it was “too messy” and so we were not allowed to see it and (b) it was locked and the butler didn’t have the key to access it.
In addition, we checked into our villa only to find out that our private pool was only one-fifth filled and the butler told us that the pool wouldn’t be filled until the next morning (the pool was only half filled the next morning when we had to check out).
There was also no water supply to all toilets the next morning, so we had to fill buckets with water to manually flush them.
As a side note, the villa is located near a pig shed as well, so there was strong smell around.
