Aimi Jeju Beach Hotel Hamdeok

The room was just okay, but the humidity was unbearable. Whenever I showered or it rained outside, the room turned into a literal water curtain cave. I had to keep the dehumidifier on all day, otherwise, it would have been impossible to stay there. Also, the price, 1000 RMB a night, was definitely too expensive. It felt more like a 500 RMB value. On the plus side, it was indeed close to the beach, and picture 4 was taken from the balcony.

I stayed for two nights, paying over 500 RMB. I didn't expect much, but I booked their best room type, a sea-view room. However, upon check-in, I was given a room on the third floor with obstructions on both sides. When I asked, they said all the higher-floor rooms were already occupied. What a coincidence! A stout guy at the front desk who spoke Chinese even claimed that as long as you can see the sea, it's a sea-view room. I hope this Chinese-speaking stout guy learns to shut his mouth if he can't speak properly. There was absolutely no service. Another young Korean staff member at the front desk was like a mute. When I asked if I could check in early, he didn't say a word or even look up, just pointed to a sign on the counter. Fine, 3 PM it is, that's the rule, and everyone abides by it. So, I advise everyone not to book this hotel in the future. Save them the trouble. The room was old, and the sheets had stains upon arrival, so I had to call someone to change them.

Right outside the hotel is the beach. Remember that check-in is officially at 3 PM, but you can usually check in around 2:40 PM. There's a convenience store (GS25/CU) right downstairs to the right. For good food, try exploring streets off the main road.

👎🏻 A terrible stay! The room was old, and the bed was completely caved in – felt like a rotten bed from 10+ years ago. My back was killing me after sleeping on it. When I complained to the front desk, the staff's attitude was awful. He basically said, 'Complain all you want, I don't care,' which was incredibly arrogant 😤😤😡🤬. Do NOT stay here! Paid over 600, but honestly, I wouldn't stay here even if it was 100! 🥶🥶🥶🥵🥵🤯

This was my second stay at this hotel. The location is very close to the beach; you can just cross the street and enjoy the water right opposite the hotel. It's a bit of a walk to the main swimming beach and restaurants, but because there are fewer shops around here, it's much quieter, and the value for money is excellent. The housekeeping is also good. I've stayed in both sea view and city view rooms, and both offer nice scenery.

There's a BBQ restaurant with Chinese-speaking staff just a short walk from the hotel. The food is good, and you get a sea view. I recommend visiting Gimnyeong Beach, which isn't far from the hotel and easily accessible by bus or taxi. If you walk the other way from the hotel, you'll find an octopus noodle place and a street full of snacks. It's also easy to shop for 'oy' (likely a typo for local specialties or goods) nearby.
