The breakfast offers a good variety, but it's mostly local cuisine. The shower spills water outside the cubicle, so a door would be a good addition. The shower head needs a filter. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service.

Strategic location with friendly staff and most importantly very good breakfast.

Definite do NOT recommend this hotel if you are sensitive to smell and especially if you do not smoke. While the hotel is clean overall, our room always reeked of cigarette smoke even if we were on a non-smoking floor (5th Floor). From 1st night we complained but because there was no other room to transfer to, they sent housekeeping and sprayed deodorizer which masked the smell for a while but it still lingered. The next day they offered to transfer us to a new room but only a twin room was available and so we said no and they did UV treatment to the room which improved the smell a whole lot and but it returned the next morning and worsened over the night. As it was our last night and we were staying only until 4:30am, we just stuck through with it. We figured that the issue might be their AC system and the smoke smell travels from duct to duct as despite being in a non-smoking floor, the cigarette smell still lingers. The corridors also had a strong perfume scent from their deodorizer which makes me think was a way to mask more of the smoke smell. We did ask the housekeeping if this was their "normal" smell in the room and they said it was. It made me feel a bit delusional but when I got home my luggage reeked of the smoke smell when I opened it which confirms all my experience once more. I think that the staff may have gotten used to having a smoke smell lingering in the whole hotel. I have asthma and had to take in my inhaler consistently to avoid having breathing issues. Both my husband and I are do not smoke and staying here was tough for both us. Other thing is, our room was facing the main road and you can hear the cars and some activities outside. If you are sensitive to noise this kight also be an issue. We were both fine with it and can still sleep through it but the reception did warn us about noise from check-in. I had high hopes for this hotel as it was the #1 rated among the 4-star hotels in Yogyakarta, but in my opinion this hotel is more like an international 3-star hotel. The 4-star is likely more of a local rating.

Very friendly & helpful staff. Good location & nice hotel.

Stayed in a deluxe room with a view of Mangkubumi street. In the evening, I could enjoy the 'takbiran' parade right from my room.

We love the location of this Hotel. Easy to walk to the nearest shopping areas. Breakfast spread is good although this is within the fasting period. Only one small comment is the Bathing room is very slippery when showering. I slipped and fall while bathing, lucky that I didn't knock on to the glass panel or the wall. Suggest to have bathing mat at the showering point. Overall for my friends and I are very satisfy with the stay at Harper Hotel.

The location is super strategic, very close to Yogyakarta Station, Tugu Station, and Malioboro Street.

My parents enjoyed their stay they have good sleep and love the breakfast the location is great near to local shop for hand carry they have coffee shop and doughnut in the lobby floor

The hotel was great, and the breakfast was exceptionally rich with lots of choices. The dessert shop across from the hotel is also excellent; you should definitely grab some treats to take home!

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Sound proof not really good as we can hear the neighbour played loud music. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Foods are good and great choices to choose. They gave us tried their new creation of pastry and it was awesome! There was a live band at night which is great. Will comeback here again if we come back to Jogjakarta.

Clean hotel with friendly and professional service. It's close to a food district, featuring renowned spots like Pizza Tunqu in Jogja. Simply fantastic!
