The staff was so nice and helpful. She gave me a tour of the city and good recommandations. She also helped me figuring out how to transfer to my next city. The room was very clean and confortable. The bathroom was clean with needed amenities. There is a nice courtyard. I would definitely recommend this place !

The hotel we like was not available so we chose this one for its location. Bad decision. It reminded me of Yunnan 30 years ago where almost every transaction became an argument — the hotel owner yelled at us because we were late for a “taxi” that was never confirmed, then hurried us into a van which waited for two hours to pick up different people. (We had originally requested a private car.). The van driver yelled and threatened us the whole way, became physical (grabbed us), didn’t take us where we wanted to go, etc. The journey to Dali took six hours instead of two and we missed our train, all because the hotel owner wanted a little commission from the driver. There are much nicer hotels and drivers available.
