Hotels in Shaxi Ancient Town, Jianchuan

We really enjoyed our first stay in Shaxi on my anniversary visit to Yunnan Province. Thanks to the fantastic service provided by Miss Yang and her incredible staff, we really enjoyed our two day stay. Originally we were only planning to stay one night but after a long trip to the nearby grottos, asked to extend one night which Miss Yang was kind enough to accommodate. This guest house/hotel is brand new and has many modern amenities including a hot water pot, refrigerator, free snacks and drinks and more. Everything was brand new and well taken care of and the staff was extremely helpful navigating us from parking to the hotel. The location is also very central to much of what Shaxi has to offer. The breakfast noodles were a real treat! We will stay here again next year.

This is a locally run hotel. Location is good, right ij the old town . The room has everything you need, the breakfast is amazing! There staffs are very helpful, polite and attentive. You are in good hands if you decided to stay in this hotel. We will definitely come back to stay with them again.

A secluded paradise hidden in the ancient town of Shaxi, Jixiashan Shaxi Hotel If traveling is a dialogue with the world, then Jixiashan Shaxi Hotel is the most gentle whisper in this dialogue. This time, I was completely conquered by its unique charm. • Environment: Nature and ancient charm intertwined: The hotel is exquisitely located, hidden in the long years of Shaxi Ancient Town, accompanied by the Heihui River and Yujin Bridge. The surrounding pastoral scenery is endless. When you open the window, the breeze brings the fragrance of soil and grass. In the distance, the mountains are undulating, and the seasons change, each with its own scenery. In spring, the flowers are blooming, in summer, the eyes are full of green, in autumn, the golden osmanthus is fragrant, and in winter, the sun is warm. The thousand-year-old ancient stage in the ancient town carries the weight of history, and every mottled spot tells the story of the past. • Service: Warm and meticulous: From the staff who check in at the front desk to the room service staff, everyone carries the unique simplicity and enthusiasm of Shaxi. A cup of hot tea upon arrival instantly dispels the fatigue of the journey; during the stay, the staff will recommend niche attractions and special foods according to my itinerary, making me feel the care of home. When I left, I also received a handwritten blessing card, which is really unforgettable. • Room: The perfect fusion of design and comfort: The room layout is ingenious, cleverly combining modern simplicity with traditional Bai elements. The wooden furniture exudes a warm luster, matched with elegant fabrics, creating a warm and peaceful atmosphere. Smart facilities are available, and the electric curtains can be opened and closed with one button, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window while lying on the bed. The bathroom products are of high quality. When bathing, the water from the shower head is like a clear spring in the mountains, washing away your fatigue. • Dining: Shaxi on the tip of the tongue: The breakfast is rich and varied, with both local specialty thin bean powder and baba, as well as Western bread and yogurt. The ingredients are fresh, and every bite is full of the taste of Shaxi. Dinner was authentic Yunnan cuisine, black chopped pork, grilled fish with lemongrass, with good color, aroma and taste, and one bite made the taste buds indulge in the world of Shaxi's food. • Public area: full of literary atmosphere: the hotel's book bar has a collection of many books related to Shaxi's history and culture. In your spare time, pick a favorite book, sit by the window, accompanied by the fragrance of tea, and immerse yourself in the ocean of knowledge. The rooftop has an excellent view, and the stars are dotted at night, as if you can touch the Milky Way with your hand. Here, time becomes slow and long. Shaxi Hotel is my warmest home in Shaxi. It is not only a hotel, but also a link between the past and the present, the city and nature. Next time I come to Shaxi, I will definitely choose here to continue writing a beautiful story with Shaxi.

The Inn is so lovely and exquisite. Our room is so cozy, clean and well decorated. A very thoughtful owner who pays alot of attention in all the small details in the room. Comfortable bed, nice shower gel and shampoo, also a nice scented bag on the bed to sooth your sleep. We love the beautiful lovely garden and courtyard. The owner, Joyce, is so helpful and nice. She helped to arrange for our logistics even though she was on overseas holiday when we called her. So happy that we managed to meet her and had a good chat before we left Shaxi. Joyce also shared travel tips with us for our next holiday destination. We are so happy that we managed to go to the Friday morning market before we depart. Shaxi is a calm and beautiful town. We definitely come back to stay the next time for a longer period to enjoy Shaxi.

The location is excellent, so near to the main street of the old town, yet is quietly tucked in a little alley away from the hustle and bustle. It is a new place so I like that everything is clean and new. The room is so spacious and comfortable and the yard is so inviting to just sit and chill with the hosts and other guests. Stayed in many different types of accommodation as I traveled, but this is a stay that is home away from home for me especially when I’m staying for 8 nights. The breakfast is simple and homely, a warm bowl of goodness freshly prepared when you want it. And when I want a change coz don’t want to keep repeating the same for 8 days, they were so accommodating. I think the warmth experienced from this stay might have made me fall more in love with this town. I truly appreciate the service from the heart, and I guessed that is what made the stay so unforgettable.

Well-appointed and comfortable inn. Excellent location with easy access to attractions (some within less than 5 mins walk), yet is tucked in a quiet corner. Delicious and nutritious breakfast. Most commendable is the warm hospitality. I feel so well-taken care by everyone here. If I were to visit Shaxi again, I will definitely stay here. And do Shaxi justice by staying for at least a couple of days, and explore the vicinity.

Shaxi old town itself is a true gem on its own, and this place is a gem in a gem. Hidden just outside of the Shaxi old town, it's proximity to the town square （寺登街）is a big plus. The landscape is super cozy, highly suitable for those who want to really have a good break from the hustle and bustle of city life, resting ones mind in an uninterrupted environment. Let's not forget the lady owner taking care of the place, who is so accommodating and helpful. And let's not forget the hot fresh milk provided every evening, which gives another level of warmness to the stay. Notes: if you are here on a Friday, you are of luck. The farmers market held weekly on Friday is just a few minutes walk away from this guesthouse too!

It's really great, the B&B has a good environment, the room is super big, super comfortable and spacious, the B&B lady is also super welcoming, the rice noodles for breakfast are so delicious, and there is hot milk to drink at night, the courtyard is really warm, I will definitely come again if I have the chance, Shaxi is very good, Lanxi is also very good👍👍

A surprise choice in Shaxi Ancient Town! The ”Wuqi” Inn I stayed in this time completely exceeded my expectations and must be recommended with five stars! First of all, the location is perfect! In the core location of Shaxi Ancient Town, you can reach the ancient stage in two steps. Secondly, the aesthetics of the courtyard are even more attractive at first sight! Shaxi's traditional architecture and modern design are perfectly integrated. The plum tree in the courtyard is in full bloom. It is so pleasant to sit in the yard, bask in the sun, drink the afternoon tea carefully prepared by the inn, and chat with friends! There are also a variety of breakfasts every day. The most surprising thing is that I drank free fully automatic hand-brewed coffee in the inn. The interior of the room is also very attentive! The old wooden beams and columns are matched with tie-dyed fabrics, and the bathroom is equipped with a full set of Kohler equipment, L'Occitane washing and care sets, and smart toilets. If I have the opportunity to come to Shaxi again, I will choose to stay in Wuqi

I really like it here, it's beautiful and comfortable. The view from the second floor is very good. Standing on the balcony, you can still hear the singing coming from the Yujin Bridge. It's about a 3-minute walk from the ancient town. The breakfast and afternoon tea provided are home-cooked and delicious. For breakfast, you can drink coffee handmade by the staff. After drinking coffee made by machines in other accommodations for several days, it was a surprise!
