Hotels in Mount Fanjing, Jiangkou

We stayed for two nights because the hotel is conveniently located near Fanjingshan. While the location was suitable for our visit, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel was extremely quiet when we first arrived, and it appeared that we were the only guests during our stay. Unfortunately, the level of service did not meet expectations. On our first night, we requested washing powder so that we could do some laundry. We were told that it had run out and that more would be available the following morning. However, when we checked the next day, there was still no washing powder available. More frustratingly, the staff made no effort to update us on the situation or offer an alternative solution. This lack of communication and initiative was disappointing. The bed was also very hard and uncomfortable. We eventually decided to extend our stay by one more night because my wife was experiencing back pain and preferred not to travel. However, our sleep quality did not improve. At around 6:00 a.m., we were awakened by other guests talking loudly in the corridor and by the constant noise of doors opening and closing. The soundproofing appears to be poor, as noises from the hallway could be clearly heard inside the room. Between the uncomfortable bed, inadequate sound insulation, and the lack of attentiveness from the staff, we did not get the restful stay we had hoped for. .

The environment is great, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Staying on the ground floor is even better because you can park your car right outside, which makes it easy to unload luggage. The high humidity in summer was actually good for my skin! The only downside was that clothes don't dry outside, so I had to hang them indoors. The hotel breakfast was a bit simple, but everything else was fine. The hotel is just across the bridge from the scenic area entrance, and you can even play in the water under the bridge.

This guesthouse has an excellent location, very close to the east gate of Fanjing Mountain. The room was spacious and clean, and the large bed was super comfortable for sleeping. The soundproofing in the room is great; even when people in the opposite room were talking loudly and I could hear their voices clearly in the hallway, I couldn't hear a thing once inside my room. The owners are very hardworking; not only do they run the guesthouse, but you can also eat meals there. Their handsome son is incredibly diligent; whenever there are guests dining, he helps serve food and clear tables. I felt terrible when I accidentally cracked a toothbrush cup badly, but the owners both immediately said it was fine and even offered me a new one, refusing to let me pay for it. I looked at many hotels before finally choosing this one for my trip to Fanjingshan. The hotel is a little over an hour's drive from Tongren Railway Station, which was very convenient as I took a taxi from Tongren. It's a ten-minute walk from Fanjingshan, and the hotel offers a shuttle service. It's a garden-style hotel with a nice environment. Since it wasn't peak season, the hotel proactively upgraded my room upon arrival. The room was spacious, and the bedding was comfortable. The room I stayed in the second night had a bathtub, which was very relaxing after hiking. Perfect for a vacation. The hotel also thoughtfully provided us with hiking gloves and offered to bring raincoats when the weather was bad – very considerate! Overall, I highly recommend it and give it a thumbs up!

We stayed in suite 2106, a riverside view suite. The view of the mountain stream was absolutely stunning; you didn't even need to find specific spots to take photos—every snapshot from the room looked beautiful. The overall decor was very stylish, not like those typical guesthouses; the details were exquisite. The owner and staff were incredibly welcoming and responded promptly to any needs, making for a wonderful stay.

The hotel was easy to find, with parking right out front. The room was spacious and bright, and the bedding was spotlessly clean. The bed was large enough, and there were two sinks in the bathroom. The shower water was great, and they even provided bathrobes and a shoehorn. It had a smart toilet and a smart speaker (Xiao Du). The ashtray was quite classy, and there's an elevator. The hotel itself is elegant and stylish. My stay was a perfect ten. I highly recommend it to everyone.

After comparing several places, we finally settled on Yunfuli, and our stay was truly excellent! The guesthouse's facilities are top-notch; the air conditioning cooled down the room quickly, and the hot water for showering was consistently stable. We had a really good night's sleep. As for cleanliness, I couldn't find any faults. The room was spacious and bright, well-ventilated, and had no strange odors. Even though the bathroom is in the mountains, it was very well-maintained and spotless. But what really stood out was their service! The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, and they even offered a free shuttle service to the scenic spots, which saved us a lot of hassle. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'm already planning to bring my family here next time.

It's really lucky to choose this homestay in Fanjingshan! The boss service is intimate and thoughtful throughout the whole process, and he will patiently help if he has any needs, and he is very kind. The most pleasant surprise is that you can make an appointment with the boss in advance to make handmade bread. The oven is soft and fragrant, and the taste is absolutely amazing! The boss's cooking skills are even more amazing. If you want to eat dinner, you will inform in advance that you will prepare authentic mountain-flavored ingredients with your heart, and the food is delicious. The environment of the homestay is quiet and comfortable. When you are tired from climbing the mountain, you can eat comfortably and live comfortably. Next time you come to Fanjing Mountain, you will look for it here. It is highly recommended!

To be honest, this guesthouse is truly excellent! The rooms look exactly like the pictures, and it's not just the fantastic location right behind the visitor center, making it super convenient to access the scenic area. The owners and their family are also incredibly kind! They even came to pick me up when I arrived and helped me with my luggage. Plus, the room is huge, and the bathroom is spacious with a separate wet and dry area. The hot water pressure is amazing, making for a very comfortable shower! I stayed on the street-facing side, which had great natural light and excellent ventilation – no strange odors or that unpleasant new renovation smell that can be harmful (I really hate that new hotel smell and prefer places that have been open for a few years). The owner's brother runs the restaurant, and the food is delicious! The stir-fries are great, but the sour soup fish is even better! 😍 It's truly delicious! Better than many sour soup fish dishes I've had in Guiyang! The main reason is the excellent quality of the river eel itself; the fish has no fishy taste, is very fragrant and tender! And the flavor is just superb! I was happy to eat all three meals at their attached restaurant rather than venturing out to the food street. The owner is very honest and down-to-earth. For a guesthouse (because it is positioned as a guesthouse, not a star-rated hotel! 🤭), to achieve this level, I personally think it's very satisfying.

Over the years, I've mostly opted for B&Bs when traveling. So, when I saw the spacious, stylish, and comfortable common areas at Huanlin, I was truly surprised. For a B&B, such amenities feel quite luxurious. The room itself is large with simple decor, comfortable bedding, and a full set of disposable toiletries. It also features smart home appliances throughout. Everything was pretty much perfect, except for the bathroom door not having a lock. The B&B is conveniently located, just a 10-15 minute walk from the scenic area entrance and the visitor center. The hostess was incredibly warm and welcoming. After our visit to Fanjing Mountain the next day, she even proactively helped us arrange transport to Tongren, cut us some watermelon, and invited us to share their homemade lunch. Beyond her excellent customer service, she was constantly busy with renovations for the outdoor space in the backyard. It's clear she's put a lot of heart into running this B&B, and I believe she'll bring even more wonderful improvements to Huanlin Courtyard.
