Jianshui Bushe Lin'an Inn (Zhujia Garden Branch)

Jianshui Ancient City, formerly known as Lin'an, was a truly unforgettable stop on my Yunnan trip. Compared to the hustle and bustle of more popular tourist spots, Jianshui offers a sense of tranquility. Strolling through the old town, with its bluestone paths, ancient city walls, arcaded buildings, and the gentle flow of daily life along the streets, you can really feel the stability and rich history of this thousand-year-old city. There's no rush here; it's as if time itself slows down. We stayed at the Lin'an Inn, and the staff were incredibly dedicated, always ready to answer any questions we had from check-in to check-out. During a trip, accommodation isn't just a place to sleep; it's the first warmth a city offers its visitors, and Lin'an Inn certainly delivered on that. Of course, no journey is entirely perfect. During our stay, the toilet in our room didn't drain very smoothly, which was a bit inconvenient. If this could be improved, I believe the overall stay would be even better. Jianshui Lin'an is a place worth savoring at a slower pace. If I have the chance, I'd love to come back.

I forgot to take pictures, but the owner, who is from Mengzi, was incredibly honest and enthusiastic. When I asked if Mengzi was good for sightseeing, he said it wasn't a tourist city. Then I asked about Yuanyang, and he said it wasn't the right season. He went on to recommend some great places to eat and fun things to do in the Old Town, offering us free water. Seeing we had a child, he even added an extra bed and paid for our parking, which made me feel a bit embarrassed by his generosity. The room was excellent and very clean. If I ever have the chance, I'd definitely come back.
