The owner, Lawrence, speaks perfect English (a very rare thing to find in Jiuanshui), is a highly cultured person and can help you solve any type of problem as well as accompanying you on visits to the surroundings, making you enter the heart of Yunnan. It is the best place I have stayed in Yunnan, without a doubt. In this place I left my heart, respect and affection for Lawrence and all the staff."

"I had the most beautiful stay in Jianshui. The hotel was clean, bright and very comfortable. The hospitality was fantastic, which as a solo traveller I was very grateful for. I was given tea and fruit on arrival and the laoban introduced me to all the key spots in Jianshui and sent me recommendations of food spots too. I was given a delicious breakfast with some of the best congee I've had in China! I really felt at home. The location is fantastic, right in the old town on a beautiful side street with a peaceful quaint atmosphere. The hotel also organised a taxi to take me onto my next destination - thank you both for a wonderful stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!"

Jianshui Lin'an Hotel is in a very good location, right next to the ancient town. It is very convenient to walk to various attractions in the ancient town, and the night view is also very beautiful, which is very suitable for our leisure travel. The pleasant trip also benefited from the hotel's service. On the first day of check-in, I didn't know how to arrange the itinerary reasonably, and where to eat authentic special meals. We consulted the front desk lady Xiao Qin, Wang Jun and Tang Ting. They were very enthusiastic and introduced the classic tourist routes of Jianshui in detail, which provided a lot of help for our trip. Especially Miss Xiao Qin, she is enthusiastic and lively, very cute, and also provided us, the old couple, with tourist information including other cities in the Honghe area. Like her own children, she is very kind. Before leaving the hotel, we promised to visit them next time we come to Jianshui. "The location is very good, in the middle of many attractions and within walking distance of the ancient city. The room is hygienic and clean, with all kinds of toiletries. You can prepare more for the room. Mineral water is also available. There are only three bottles in the room, although the aunt came to replenish it the next morning. "Su Yin has two locations in the ancient city, but this one is my favorite. It perfectly captures the Chinese aesthetic I love, with a delightful sense of a secluded, traditional courtyard. It's said to have been reinforced and renovated from an old, historic building. The pillows were excellent and very comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise for someone like me with neck problems. My only minor query is why the bed was designed so high (it felt like 80 cm!). If you're a bit on the shorter side, you'd literally have to climb into it. Oh, and I absolutely must commend the manager! He was busy attending to various issues in my room late into the night. My sincere thanks for all his hard work!"

"We had the best stay in this hotel. The room was large and bright, there was heating as it was cold during our stay. The owner was very nice and spoke a bit of English. "I arrived at the youth hostel at around 9pm. I booked it immediately after seeing the room. The room was clean and comfortable, well ventilated, and both the room and the bathroom had windows. The bedding was also clean, and the room was quite large. There was a large platform on the top floor, which was very comfortable to sit and enjoy the breeze at night. I will stay at this youth hostel again next time I go to Jianshui. The boss was also very nice. I didn't eat after arriving, so he recommended Lao Er BBQ nearby.
