My recent transit stay at The Chengdu Tianfu Hotel in Chengdu exceeded my expectations in terms of guest service. Despite a language barrier, the front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and comfortable stay. The room I stayed in was impeccably clean, reflecting the hotel's commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. The comfortable accommodations and serene ambiance provided a much-needed respite during my transit. What truly stood out during my stay was the exceptional guest service provided by the front desk staff. Despite the language barrier, the staff members were incredibly attentive, welcoming, and resourceful. They utilized WeChat to communicate efficiently and effectively, assisting me with the arrangement of a free shuttle bus between the airport and the hotel. Thank you. :)

1. Check-in experience From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt full of sincerity. The front desk staff was enthusiastic and the check-in process was very fast without any delay. They patiently answered my various questions about the room type, facilities and surrounding environment, and also recommended the hotel's special services and surrounding food attractions to me, which made me look forward to the next stay. 2. Room environment The room is very exquisitely decorated, and the overall style is simple but warm. The bed is so comfortable that people don't want to get up once they lie on it. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, and the pillows are also very comfortable, providing me with a high-quality sleeping experience. The facilities in the room are all available, and the air conditioner, TV, kettle, etc. are all working well. In addition, the hotel also thoughtfully prepared free mineral water, toiletries and snacks, showing care in every detail.

This place was very clean and professional. I was surprised to get such a good place for the price I paid. The staff were very helpful and were good at English. I appreciated the free shuttle to the airport in the morning when I left. There may have been a way to get a free pickup from the airport too, but I didn’t figure that out in time, and I just called a Didi (Uber-like system in China). Before this I had stayed at several other budget hotels in a different part of the China, and even at roughly the same price, they were not half as good as this one. So I was really impressed with this place. The room was very clean and spacious and comfortable. The only reason I took one star off for Amenities was because there was no mini-fridge and no closet, though there was a unenclosed place to hang clothes. I liked the comfortable chair and footstool by the window with its own little table. I relaxed in that for a while, drinking the provided tea. The desk was helpful too.

The hotel is incredibly good for the price. The location is super convenient, about 15mins by their shuttle bus - you should really make sure that you can take it though because it’s difficult to reach by public transport and not exactly walking distance. It’s really easy to use so don’t worry. You can contact the hotel easily via WeChat and they send you all the info you might need. The room is massive, clean and modern. They offer some small gifts - a panda keychain, earplugs and hand cream. I really loved the room. The only issue was that the lock wasn’t working - you still need a card to get in so I guess it was fine but it made me a little uncomfortable. On their page, they say that they have English translation service but nobody spoke English when I arrived so I’m not sure about how that one works.
