The duvet felt a bit damp, and the mattress was so thin it was practically non-existent, making the bed very hard. For women staying on the second floor, you'll need to climb stairs. There are many long-term residents here. You're expected to clean your own room, and the bedding isn't always changed promptly. Initially, when I went to my assigned room, all four bottom bunks had stuff on them, but the owner claimed only two people were staying there. I asked to switch rooms, and when I entered the new one, there was still a previous guest's three-piece bedding set on the bottom bunk that hadn't been removed. Sometimes the owner grills downstairs, and the smoke drifts up, which can be quite choky. Smoking is allowed in the public area on the first floor. On the positive side, the owner is very nice and responsive to everything. The public space is quite spacious, and the other guests were lovely too. I had gastroenteritis, and one of the women staying there even cooked millet porridge in the morning and included a portion for me!

The room was neat and clean. The facilities were complete, and there were many hair dryers and mirrors available in the hallway outside. The hygiene was excellent. The environment was great, and there were drinks on the first floor. The service was very good.

The room environment was decent and quite clean. The lobby on the first floor is a common area with plenty of seating. You can buy coffee at the front desk, and it tastes pretty good. The only downside is that the men's restroom showers don't have doors or curtains, and they're directly opposite the squat toilets, which makes showering quite awkward.

Hygiene: The room was cleaned daily by an auntie, so it was very clean and tidy. Environment: The public space is very large, and the big screen looks really good. Service: The owner is warm and generous, and you can even walk your dog here.

I stayed in an 8-person dorm, and the conditions were pretty basic. There's no private bathroom, just a shared public one with squat toilets. You have to shower in the same stall as the squat toilet. The facilities are old and run-down; the sink doesn't have hot water. They only provide a 'three-piece set' (bed linens) and no disposable toiletries. Even the 'three-piece set' they gave me was torn, and the cleanliness was just so-so. There are no lockers, so if that's important to you, you might want to look elsewhere. The books on the shelf were mostly elementary school essays. Honestly, besides being cheap, it doesn't have many redeeming qualities, and there aren't any good places to eat nearby either.
