JOY LUCK LOTUS RESORT HOTEL

This was an excellent hotel! It was the last hotel of my 6-day, 5-night trip and also the cheapest, but it truly surprised me. The room design was very comfortable, especially the bedding, and the pillows were exceptionally comfortable. I even went home and ordered the exact same pillow. The hotel is very close to Starlight Night Market; just turn left out of the hotel, and it's about a 5-minute walk to the entrance. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but the food was delicious. The dinner discount set meals at the hotel were also very good and offered great value for money – there was no need to eat at small restaurants outside. Something else happened during my stay. Due to my own mistake, I flew my drone onto the hotel's roof. The hotel staff enthusiastically helped me retrieve it. Many thanks again!

Superb review! We stayed in the private pool family two-bedroom suite with our child and had an amazing experience! The room came with a private pool, a bathtub, and even kids' toiletries and a footstool – the attention to detail was impressive. The main pool was stunning, and the floating afternoon tea was both beautiful and delicious; our child didn't want to leave until late evening. The white buildings in the public area paired with the bougainvillea made for fantastic photos. The breakfast was tasty, and there were also free ice cream, cocktails, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, making for a rich array of activities. This is definitely our top choice for a family vacation. Overall, we were very satisfied and will choose this place again next time we visit Xishuangbanna.

The hotel design is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is plentiful. The butler service is attentive and meticulous; they even deliver small desserts to your room in the evening. The butler's laundry service is also very thoughtful, and they provided a bag of travel essentials. Highly recommended!

The hotel service was fantastic! The butler was incredibly responsive to all our needs. Traveling with two kids, we were exhausted after long days out, and the last thing we wanted to do was laundry. Luckily, the hotel washed and dried our clothes and delivered them right to our room. The kids absolutely loved the pool, and it was also a great spot for photos. The hotel environment is lovely, and the lobby and corridors offer some beautiful photo opportunities. Every evening, they had different 'goodnight' desserts. Even if we weren't in the room, the staff would place them inside, so we could enjoy them as soon as we got back. The kids especially loved the sago pudding!

The room was super comfortable, and the hotel service was absolutely fantastic! I loved it so much; I'll definitely be back. Plus, the infinity pool was amazing for photos!

Had a fantastic stay! Traveling with seniors and children, we really appreciated the elegant environment and cleanliness. Our butler, Tom, provided excellent service, and all the hotel staff were friendly and polite. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, everything was delicious – I highly recommend the rice noodles. The pool was also beautiful.

I booked four nights directly after seeing a recommendation on Xiaohongshu, so my expectations were quite high. First, I'll acknowledge the good location – it's close to the Starlight Night Market but still quiet, offering a peaceful retreat in a bustling area. Now for the negative points. First, the experience: the elevator is tiny, has no air conditioning, and you don't need a key card to select a floor, which means there's almost no security. Second, room hygiene: there were multiple yellow stains on both the sheets and pillows. Most importantly, the toilet was square, making it incredibly uncomfortable to sit on and causing pain. Third, service quality: they offer a complimentary nightly sweet soup, but after confirming the time with the butler, it always arrived more than half an hour late, delaying our plans. The staff's service awareness was also very poor. These points are based on the standards and service one would expect given the hotel's positioning and price. It's priced similarly to InterContinental, but in every aspect, especially safety, it falls significantly short, with only the location being a redeeming factor. So, I don't know where the 'zero negative reviews' online come from; you really need to experience it yourself to feel the difference.

The butler kindly upgraded us to a room with a pool when they saw we had two children, which was a wonderful surprise! The hotel also offered plenty of activities in the afternoon, like making chicken feet salad, pizzas, and cookies, which our kids looked forward to every day. The infinity pool is definitely a great spot for photos.
