Mekong River Jing Land Hotel

Miss Xiaoju at the front desk was very welcoming to our family of four. She even upgraded our room! The kids especially loved the big swimming pool on the fifth floor; they had so much fun they didn't even want to go out. Everything else was great, five-star review!

The location is fantastic, making it super convenient to get around, especially to the Xishuangbanna Starlight Night Market since it's right in Gaoshan. The breakfast was also good.

The hotel is right next to the Starlight Night Market, which is super lively. They offered complimentary snacks upon arrival, and the front desk even upgraded my room for free, asking for a 5-star review in return. However, on the first night, I took the duvet out of its cover and found a stain on it. I contacted the floor manager, who said a previous guest had spilled coffee on it. Oh well, let's blame the coffee. I also have to complain about the hotel breakfast. I had almost the same breakfast for three days straight, which really killed my appetite. I hope they can improve this. Tourists visiting Xishuangbanna usually stay for at least two or three days. It shouldn't be too hard to offer different breakfast options for at least two days, right?

The front desk staff was very considerate, offering helpful reminders. The river view rooms can meet most people's accommodation needs, but it can get quite noisy at night, which might disturb your sleep. If you can't stand the noise, they are happy to help you switch rooms. The East Tower primarily offers apartment-style rooms with more complete facilities. The West Tower has hotel-style rooms, which are relatively more comfortable. You can choose based on your personal preference. My 5-day trip to Xishuangbanna was very pleasant. The Starlight Night Market is worth checking out for the lively atmosphere, and if you enjoy travel photography, you can try going there at night for some great shots.

Gaozhuang truly transforms from day to night; its real charm only emerges in the evening! The melodious hulusi, the graceful Fannuo dance, the endless neon lights, the exotic Dai electronic music, and the bustling Ganbai Street. Since I'm not a fan of guesthouses, I always choose the Mekong Jinglan Hotel for my stays. I visited Gaozhuang two years ago and also stayed at Jinglan. The facilities, location, views, and service were all top-notch. So, for this trip to Gaozhuang, Jinglan was again my top choice! The room interiors, bed frames, and even the exterior walls are all well-maintained, indicating that the hotel is well-managed and invests in its upkeep, creating a positive cycle. This time, I'm staying in Gaozhuang for 4 days. I initially booked a two-day River View Executive Twin Room. At check-in, the lovely Miss Xiaoju at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped arrange a high-floor room as requested. When I learned about the in-house suites on higher floors (fewer than 5 available, with better views, and not sold on platforms), Xiaoju proactively offered a key card for me to view them. After some discussion, Xiaoju offered a very favorable price within her authority. Consequently, I decided to book the in-house suite for another two days. A huge thank you to Xiaoju for her help! My vacation wasn't long enough this time to stay for the Dai New Year Water Splashing Festival. I'll definitely come back when I have more time to experience the three-day carnival!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Starlight Night Market. The river-view rooms offer a direct view of the Lancang River, the Starlight Night Market, and White Elephant Beach! I stayed on the south side of the river for New Year's Eve and watched the fireworks show, and this time staying on the north side was a great, varied experience! They upgraded our room to one with a river view, and the scenery is beautiful. However, the bass from the Six Nations Music Plaza downstairs plays continuously until after 11 PM, so those with heart conditions should definitely reconsider!!! The hotel lobby is grand, fresh, and elegant, with a rich Dai ethnic flair. The reception staff's Dai traditional clothing is beautiful and graceful! There are welcome drinks in the lobby! The hotel offers free hot springs, a water park, and an infinity pool. The hot spring water is relatively clean, but a few pools had some moss, which I suggest they clean promptly! The pool faces the Lancang River directly, making it perfect for photos! Breakfast was abundant, with a wide variety of delicious options! The service was warm and friendly; staff actively smiled and greeted guests! This hotel offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth revisiting!

The lobby is beautiful, but the rooms are a bit basic. The East Tower apartments have generally poorer facilities, so I'd recommend staying in the North Tower. There's a pool on the fifth floor, and the night view from the river view rooms is great. Breakfast is also quite plentiful.

This is a great hotel with excellent value for money. It's very close to the Gaozhuang Starlight Night Market; you can access it directly from the lobby's back exit, which is super convenient. Plus, the bonfire party is right downstairs from the infinity pool.
